Though I taped, off FM broadcasting, all four Aurex Jazz Festival 1980 performances at the Budokan, I do not recall if I watched this session on September 3 on TV or video. Referring to my memo, I found some missing tunes such as "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" and "I'm Confessing" on my tape while songs Helen Humes sang were not on this video though her name is on the credit. Anyway, my memories in my college days in Tokyo revived all the sudden...quite vividly.
Milt Hinton will always be one of the best!!! Not many people can swing like him. And always happy, loving the music with all his heart. What joy listening his playing.
