Thank you so much for that lovely reminder in the beginning. I lost my baby boy (my cat, best friend of 14 years) less than a week ago and it has been so hard to breathe. I still don't know how to deal with his absence but knowing that someone is going through the exact same struggles lowkey makes me keep going. Sending you much love ❤
I lost my dog a few years ago and know exactly how you feel because I went through the same thing. It is hard and it can be a struggle to continue on. I hope you are doing well and know that his spirit is still with you.

Sorry about the your loss of Scruffy. It might be hard but definitely keep doing things that make you happy and remember all the good members you two had together. I might need to create a digital reading journal. Sounds like a very good idea and I need to start reading more than I have been.
When my dog passed away last year, Modern Family was the only show I wanted to watch! However, I had never actually seen it before aside from an episode here and there. I think its just the comedy combined with a very loving and loyal family that makes it very comforting in times of loss.
I just had the worst day today, processing grief... This is such a treat, such a relief. You're such a sister to my soul 💖

I lost my girl (the beauty in my profile pic) last Friday after a very sudden and brief battle with cancer and it has been very rough as well. Catching up on reading, book content and vlogs has been very therapeutic. My heart goes out to you and to everyone who has experienced this kind of loss

modern family is my ultimate comfort show!! whenever i’m ill or feeling sad i always went back to it (because they took it off uk netflix now 😢) but i hope you’re doing okay and taking care of yourself 🫶

Since you are enjoying Devotions so much, I highly recommend Dog Songs by Mary Oliver. I think it will be a very cathartic read for you, and help you through your grief for Scruffy. It's a collection of poems all about the dogs that were in Mary's life. Obviously if that would be too upsetting to read right now then don't, but I do think it's a very important read for any dog lover or anyone who has lost a dog

I finished therapy last week, and it's been more emotional than I thought (I'm not a crier and have cried twice in 4 days 😂) So like you said, healing isn't linear, and I'm glad you're taking care of yourself and doing things that bring you joy during your grieving Chloe! Thank you for the reminder of healing and grief is not linear. I lost my dog Ollie in January and it’s been really tough adjusting so hearing that reminder is nice and makes me say to myself “it’s okay to have those moments of sadness it’s a big change.” ❤️

Im still wrapping you in love and light, providing a spiritual blanket in these challenging times. We never fully heal after the loss of a loved one. I still cry years later for my pup. On a off-topic book-related note: I believe you had mentioned How Do You Live? by Genzaburō Yoshino in a previous vlog. I got it because of you. I chose audiobook, and I highly recommend it. It’s easy to see how this book inspired Miyazaki’s later work in life. How Do You Live does that famous studio Ghibli magic of romanticizing everyday moments. The challenges are real challenges. The thoughts are real thoughts. It’s beautiful. I was worried that it wouldn’t age well, but it is stunning. 5/5 stars
