Hi me my gf and son will be staying in la mata in a couple of weeks time to scout out the local areas for a permanent move next year. Im self catering so was wondering if theres any good supermarkets in la mata u could recomend or is it best to head to torrevieja and do a grocery shop there ? Thanks

+Cal Ral Max is in La Mata can get pretty much all your groceries there. Also good baker and meat shops in La Mata. If at the top of the hill there is Prix supermarket also a good variety. Remember on Wednesdays there is also the market with lots of local produce.

A lot of places are like that at certain times of the year. There is at least 30% of empty properties in certain areas because they are 2nd homes.
