Long Ago is a song for dreamers who love to lose themselves in pleasant melancholy. It is a song about intimacy in the past tense and tells the story of two lovers who are separated in space and time.
Johnny & Lua Lua wrote ‘Long Ago’ together with producer Benjamin Rheinländer. The three songwriters had only just met at a writerscamp the day before when they sat down to write on a sunny afternoon. Johnny’s rugged voice and Lua Lua’s smooth vocals complement each other perfectly. Their voices are gently carried by the guitar and synth, coming together in harmony, creating a dreamy atmosphere.
David Hilhorst, a Dutch filmmaker living in Mexico, made this video Mexico City and features a young couple riding their skateboards through the city.
Johnny is a songwriter from Amsterdam who loves nostalgic sounds and dinosaurs. Behind Lua Lua stands the songwriter and singer Lise Low, an optimistic dreamer who expresses her fascination with love, nature, and life through her voice.
