Kyle B is now a certified emo archaeologist. Fantastic documentary of a band I hold dear
I don’t like the emo label
I walked down the aisle in our wedding to “You Have My Attention” ❤️😭❤️😭❤️
Omg this is making me cry how amazingly sweet
I just found out this existed!
Thank you for creating a cohesive journey of Copeland history. I showed it to our children this morning and they were so excited and proud of seeing their daddy on stage and being interviewed. I will hold this close to my heart. Thank you for your hard work in making a beautiful piece.
Aw that's awesome! They should be proud of their pops 😊
The medicine tree literally saved my life. It's in sain to think about so much later. Best band to ever emo.
This is absolutely amazing!! "Brightest" is still my wife and I's song from when we were dating in the early 2000s in college. We still dance to it every anniversary...
one of the best bands of the early 2000s that flew under the radar.
Copeland has been my fav band since 8th grade... I'm almost 30 now wtf lol. love this doc. good trip down memory lane. you should do other docs on similar bands like Lydia and lovedrug and mae!
Thank you for watching =) time flies man! My hope is that this could potentially inspire others to tell the stories of bands/artists that are meaningful to them.
SAMEEEEEEEEE
Copeland will forever be one of my absolute favorite bands of all time. So happy you made this.
one of the best bands of all time. insanely consistent discography that constantly evolves sonically without ever losing that Copeland sound.
Grew up in central Florida and have been proudly supporting since the EvAngel days. Kyle - you did such an excellent job telling their story. Felt like a teenager all over again watching this. 💖💖💖
Beneath the Medicine Tree was an album I listed to over and over again, it saw me through some of the most challenging times of my life - more than 15 years ago and all the way to now, I still feel the same rays of hope. love. faith. Somehow it has the power to reach beneath the surface. I loved the songs then, and I love it now.
You Are My Sunshine is my favorite album of all time.
I’m grateful I got to be part of that whole burgeoning central Florida punk-indie inspired/rooted music scene circa 1999-2002 and on.
Dude, are you kidding me? This is the band of my youth.
Same man!
This is so great! I became a huge fan of Copeland after they had already split up. When they came back from the dead and announced Ixora it blew my mind. Very cool to see their history stitched together in one place.
Thank you for putting this together. All time favorite band. I use to say I would name my first son Copeland and I now have a 5 year old named Copeland. This band has had such an impact on my life.
watch this whole thing without tearing up at a song challenge
A fantastic look into their personal lives. Their honesty and authenticity is a big reason why Copeland has been the soundtrack of my life through my most difficult years
Copeland is one of the most incredible bands ever got to see them live on the blushing tour love them so much this is sooo cool they deserve more attention and love
Damn, this was flawlessly produced. Absolute unexpected treat. They’ve influenced everyone in this town and beyond. 💎
Thank you for your kind words =) their story influenced me as I worked on it, to push yourself and create something meaninful.
Take Care was my first love, i found that song long time ago, im still in love
My favorite band of all time! Sending some love from from the Philippines 🙏🏻❤️ They changed my life after hearing You Are My Sunshine and listened to their whole discography afterwards. Been a die hard supporter since then. Had the opportunity to watch them live when they went to Manila. Thank you for making this documentary!
One of my favorite bands. I've been listening for over 20 years now. I'm 41 years old and still listen often. Copeland's music gets me through the cloudy moments in life.
So well put together, Copeland has been my favorite band for 13 years. The one thing I've always admired is how every album they've put out has up'd the last (in my opinion). I've literally never known another band to bring me to a place that Copeland has. Can only pray that they tour again 🙏🏽 Thank you for this Doc!
Copeland's music have been saving my life for the past 5 years and I can't thank you enough for this. It's just beaultiful!
I was on several of these tours with Daphne + Sherwood. What a special time! So glad you captured this. Wish we had something like this for Daphne.
My hope is it could inspire others to tell the stories of any band/group that hasn't been told.
Keep it Kyle, great stuff. I know everyone says this kind of thing all the time, but they should’ve been so much bigger, but in a way I’m glad I’m part of the little community of us in central Florida and elsewhere who were in on this.
Priceless is my favorite song of all time.
Oh how I love Copeland. I’ve been listing for a long time. I wish I seen them live way more though.
After watching them live about 20 + times, i still can’t get enough of them. Thanks for making this!!
Welp I know what I’m now doing the next few weeks. Nothing but Copeland on loop…
Same!!
I discovered Copeland a little over a year ago and they have created the most ethereal and perfect sounding songs I've ever heard which made them easily one of my favorite bands. I listened to them repeatedly in preparation for their BMT anniversary tour and I can't stop listening to them ever since. Every album has a different feel and nails it perfectly. Their latest album Revolving Doors is divine and I looking forward to any future projects. This documentary is fantastic and really opened my eyes to their history as a band.
This might have been my favorite video I watched this year. I remember watching Copeland perform with spill canvas and that night was still one of my favorite nights of my life.
Music lives forever.
my favorite band of all time! ty :D
I remember seeing them with the early November!
You have no idea how amazing this is! Copeland are one of my brother and I's biggest musical influences. I can't think of any other bands that have managed to release as much top tier quality music, and do so consistently as Copeland. Also, I think It goes without saying that Aaron Marsh is one of, if not _THE_ greatest vocalists of all time. It's so nice to see others appreciate them as much as I do!
I agree, their thoughtfulness and consideration is reflected in all the music they've release! Thank you for watching =)
Always be my all time favorite bands
dude this tears my old heart open again
I love this. And them. Even named my son after them💕
Watching this made me realize all the amazing tours I missed and now my heart hurts. I have loved Copeland from the start. I wish I could have seen every live show.
These records are the soundtrack to my entire coming of age. Great documentary!
Great documentary, I've had it on my to watch list for a while. I've been listening to them for almost 20 years and I finally got to see them back in 2019 on my birthday, it was really cathartic. Kite is still one of my favorite songs, amongst many of their other tracks.
such a wonderful, special band that soundtracked so much of my mid to late teens and even my early 20's when ixora came out around then....blushing is fantastic as well. this is so cool thanks for putting it together.
Still one of the Greatest bands to date! Never sold out artistically but grew as individuals.
Used to game with Steven, and occasionally Bryan as well good times!
Excellent documentary. I saw Copeland live back in 2003 at the Cornerstone festival in NC and had been a fan ever since. Luck strikes twice with finding this documentary and finding out they've made music since their breakup years back.
Copeland is and will always be the best! Thank you for making this. Years of nostalgia and amazing music in a short time.
Awesome job on this. Copeland deserves this treatment such a amazing band.
Thank you =) I felt like their story should be told and I wanted to right by them.
Daawww. My favorite band. I can’t wait to watch this.
I snared last minute tickets to their show with Switchfoot (Aaron playfully referenced them as Switchfeet) back in my freshman year of University here in Edmonton. I was too caught up in my studies and didn't realize Copeland were the opening act. I literally bribed my best friend at the time to drive us to the last remaining Ticket Office booth in town to get the tickets 30 minutes before the show! I remember I was one of the very few people singing along to their songs. The people around me were giving me weird looks when I got so hyped at the musical intro of each song and ready to yell loudly (into the mostly silent crowd) the lyrics along with Aaron. I probably annoyed many around me but I didn't care one bit. COPELAND WAS PLAYING LIVE IN FRONT OF ME! I was coasting on a musical high all night as I pulled an all-nighter to finish my assignments. Man, thanks so much Kyle for this! This brings me back to a wonderful time of self exploration and growth. This was wonderfully produced and edited! I can only hope you produce a similar video for Anberlin. Cheers!
Lovedrug was my Defining band that crafted my musicianship
Grew up in south Florida and always loved this band, still listen to the same tracks over 15 years later. Awesome documentary, always wondered the ins and outs of what had happened over the years..
So well done! Really enjoyed watching and found out so many things that helped fill in the blanks about Copelands career. Hope they keep making music for years to come!
I love Copeland so much. YLIASS is still one of my favorite tracks to this day. In Motion is a masterpiece.
I love Copeland sm 😭 always have always will 😭💛
Omg.. thank you so much for this!!! So many of their songs changed me in my formative years especially cuz I was deeply in love with my then bf whom i married, & now im divorced to, I’m now 34 & listening to them today.. the lyrics still hit me just as hard.. if not even more so now that I’ve lived a little. I will forever love Copeland & appreciate all they sacrificed & poured into the music & fans!!! We love you!
Ixora + Twin is the greatest album of all time in every aspect.
Those are definitely two of my favorites.
Man, this is so good. You should be really proud of this film. What a great band.
Thank you for your kind words! Great music and story makes for the perfect inspiration.
This was great! Super nostalgic for me. Copeland has been a huge influence on my own music writing endeavours. One of the best bands ever!
Thanks for watching =) they've been an influence for me too, even in the way I approach creating videos.
My favorite band of all time, what an incredible video! Have I Always Loved You will play at my wedding one day.
Thank you for putting this together, it's a stunning tribute to a band that means so much to so many.
Fantastic work paying tribute to my all-time favourite band. You’ve really outdone yourself here Kyle! 😁
thanks so much for making this kyle! it was so well done. they're my all time favorite band, and have influenced every song i've written ever since i started listening to them with beneath medicine tree. it was so fun to go back on that journey, seemingly alongside with them, during the documentary. i consider myself a huge copeland nerd and found out many things i had no idea about while watching.
It was my absolute pleasure, it was a very fun project. Their music has influenced me in many ways too. Their journey showed me why I liked their music, the thought and depth put into their songs is what makes them timeless.
What a brilliant piece of work. Thank you for creating this. You Are My Sunshine still gets a lot of plays. Beautiful.
You can see the love and passion put in this documentary in every second of it, just like Copeland songs
I'm ready for the next chapter!
This was so well done. Thank you for making this 😭😭
Yo, this was so great! Thanks for this. I’ve listened to Copeland since Beneath The Medicine Tree as a kid and it was so fun to trace the steps until now.
Thanks for watching man! Same story here, heard BMT in the 9th grade and was all about it. It was fun to piece their history together.
So we’ll done !! ❤
Excellent documentary, had no idea Copeland was still making music!
I've finally had a moment to watch this and I feel very emotional. I became a fan of Copeland in 2014 at age 16. I had no idea that Ixora had already been announced at the time; I just started listening because some friends had recommended them. I was so sad that I would never hear any new music from them. But now here we are. I can't imagine my life without their music. Thank you for making such a beautiful documentary.
This was absolutely tremendous Kyle. Thank you for doing this. I was at that Copeland supporting Motion City Soundtrack gig and it remains one of my absolutely favourite gigs ever. Copeland is for lovers. 🤟 Beneath Medicine Tree and In Motion in my top 5 albums ever.
Really amazing work Kyle! What a walk through the decades that makes me love one of my forever favorites even more. Thank you, for bringing up all of these really fantastic memories!
Watching this made my heart so happy. As an ATL 2000 crazy/groupie wanna be & fan, this brought back so many memories of old shows I attended. Much 💕
