I love the feedback. The point of the video is not to say its the best solution. The point is to build a culture onsite where people are doing their best work and coming up with ideas. Would I carry that around? Maybe not. Do I want all workers trying to improve their environment every day? Absolutely! So, on we go!
#1 He uses it for concrete floors, so don’t call someone stupid if you don’t know what it’s for, STUPID! But!! I doubt this guy ever used this because That particular one will not work. First of all it’s too light, he can’t go 50’ and not move it, I have a real 50lb one and it moves if you go too far, although I can go over a hundred feet. Also, he won’t be able to snap a 3.5” or 1/2” line too close to an edge or too close to an existing wall. But I’m sure he will figure it out if he doesn’t give up on it. Hint, mine looks like a square bear paw
I bet if one of you "smarter" (lame) carpenters had one of these, you'd use it...if you really know how to layout. Using a fuckin masonry block or a 5 gallon bucket or whatever you have onsite is lame if you ask me. I'm gonna make me one of these, thanks for the idea!
Or you can gather one day of experience in construction and realize that chalk line doesn’t apply here as it is meant to hook to an edge, but thanks for playing.
Josuee Santuarioo a man would that’s who. Your saw weights 15lbs, your bags should weight 20+ lbs. don’t work a mans job if your gonna complain about bitch weight
Imagine you're doing tile layout, and you got Kerdi and Ditra in the room, are you really gonna drive a damn nail through the waterproofing membrane? This isn't that bad, you put it in your truck and bring it out when needed like any other tool
I think he's saying he can pull it that far without moving the weight. I'm sure it still benefits him still though, considering he doesn't need three guys to snap the long lines. Two plus the contraption
@@AssMcBlast he'd do better to stick to shorter snaps. Shorter snaps offer more accurate snaps so the question I suppose is how accurate is he trying to be. I wouldn't push >~20' and that's for rough. 🤷🏽

Some of you pendejos never done Millwright work or done layout on the floor for conveyors this is a brilliant idea !
This guy rules ❤ thanks for sharing.
This is called a dead man many layout guys create their own this is a nice one though

Where do you buy this deadman
I like
Necessity is the mother of all inventions.
You missed safety glasses in the office....
Is goo idea but the frame is just too much
Not as useful when it comes down to snapping lines on roof
on the roof you probably have edges you can use to hook the line to

Or..... you can use a Snapback Chalk Line with Releasable Tip. You know, if you don't want to carry a heavy weight around.

@@gabrielr4511 ong lmfao hahahaha I was going to say something but you got it
50’ ?? Really ?? Only people that don’t know about layout is gonna believe you 😅😅😅
Who in the world would want to carry a weight around.

Dont you have a truck?
Or, I have an easier way. You hit a 2” nail half way into the wood and hook you chalk line on it. No lugging weights around

Pulling 50'/60' snaps? I bet his layout is off all the time. No way your accuracy is tits on a snap that long.
