Great vid as always. Since I watched this however the following has happened. (1) The Gulf States have informed Israel they cannot overfly their airspace to attack Iran. (2) Russia is supplying Iran with real time Satellite data (saw a Russian sat pic of US tanker aircraft in Qatar this morning) so there will be no element of surprise. (3) Iraq has warned the US that if Israel uses its airspace then Shia groups plan to launch massive localised attacks to destroy every US base in the country. Seems the difficulty level in terms of striking Iran has just gone up significantly. Then there is possibility that by the time the Israeli planes return they won't have a base left to land at. Iran has said the moment any Israel aircraft fires anything at them they will launch a decapitation strike at Israel using thousands of BM. Not passing comment on Iran's ability to suceed, but if Israel does attack then we probably are in a full blown ME war.

Checking the records of F15E accidents this as far as I know has never occurred. Also I'm not sure the ACM ROE would have allowed such a situation. Something to perhaps try and model given the GR predilection for aircraft ejection and destruction at the end of a mission? ;-)
Helmets are Helmets regardless. Helmets for safety and integrity are normally only allowed to be used once. Bike Helmets, motorcycle Helmets, believe it or the army uses too, so I'd assume they are good for 1 use. The cost of fat amy is way more than the helmet so the helmet is the least of the worries. I feel like they'd ground the pilot for ejecting

I've flown back seat in the L39 Albatros and front seat in several gliders which are all dual controlled and the way you are straped into your seat you can't move around very much and the risk of knocking the stick is quite small. You can also loop your hands into your straps so they are out of the way.

As a military enthusiast and writer myself, I can offer insights into Iran's military and in this case, their air defense systems, including information about its rings. Kharg Island boasts a somewhat large air defense network, featuring 1 Bavar 373, 1 S300, and 3 Sevom Khordad air defense systems, along with other smaller and older SAMs.
Highly unlikely dumb bombs would be used, pre-programmed GPS coordinates for JDAMs would be used and the F-15s would only need to spend a few seconds over the island. In a realistic scenario, unless Iran already had CAP pre-positioned, you’d be out of there before MiGs and F-14s even got there in time. Also, since the AARGMs were somewhat overkill, it’s likely some F-35s would carry JDAMs or Air to Air.

Great fun as always. In the real case though, I just can't see Jordan or Saudi Arabia helping Israel. Yes, they're in a tacit agreement against Iran, but they're not friends, and both countries -- like every Arab country -- are extremely concerned with loss of face. Domestically, and on Al Jazeera, they do a tough talk about the nasty Israelis. Also, they don't want to be attacked by Iranian missiles or terrorist proxies. And I think if Israel did try it on, well, it could be a very bad day. Only one thing has to go wrong in a very complex plan. I think Israel's attack may come down to cyber warfare (especially against infrastructure), assassinations and missile strikes.

Agreed. Even the scenario they didn't want to use, going all the way around the Arabian peninsula, still would have been likely implausible, given the airspace constraints. No matter how much they hate Iran, allowing Israeli warplanes over its airspace will cause, erm, "domestic concerns," that no Saudi, UAE, or Omani gov't wants.

It's not unreasonable to assume Iran would be jamming (or even spoofing) GPS signals anywhere near the island, making JDAMs much less effective.

Israel is unlikely to attack Iran with it's air force, perhaps just F35's. This is why Iran is patrolling with Anti-ship aircrafts and missiles, in fear of Israeli Submarine strikes.

This route is unlikely to be the one they use. Jordan would not allow it. They are more likely to go through Syria and Iraq, jamming/destroying air defenses along the way.
Saudi won't allow it either. The entire GCC is now neutral as of a few days ago, so no use of airspace for offensive operations.

@Wyomingchief AARGM-ER only entered service with the US in 2023 and isn't even integrated with the F-35 yet. No export contract has been signed with Israel or even fulfilled at all with other buyers. As for Israel's F-35 losses, we have visual evidence of dozens of strikes on Israeli air bases. There's no chance they could get 12 F-35s airborne right now.
