Back around 1974(?) or so, WTVT Channel 13 had a half-hour program called "Project 13" that came on immediately after the eleven o'clock News on Sunday nights that I watched religiously and on that particular evening decades ago, the show focused on the men (pirates) of the vessel "Jose Gasparilla" and how they prepared for the pirate invasion. It showed them camped out on a beach the night before with a glowing campfire making final preparations for the pirate invasion and their sincerity seemed so real to me way back then. I thought they really did those things the day and the eve before the Gasparilla boat invasion! I've never forgot that "Project 13" episode from so long ago. It would be so cool if channel 13 dug that program out and aired it again. --- John L.

@@brian2100 Thanks for that! I was guessing it was 1974. I loved watching "Project 13" and have wondered to this day who that pensive-looking young girl was pictured in the shows Intro. She's probably in her early-60's today. I grew up watching "Big 13" and my first recollections were when Ray Dantzler was the weekday 6 PM News anchor..... I wonder if anybody remembers "Shock Theater" with Paul Reynolds (Shock Armstrong). Great Memories from my youth of "Big 13" ! --- John L.

pirates hu ? whole world is going, "by by", and they dress up as Pirates - whole city, weird. I am in the Seattle location, that celebrates @ pirate day as well. I do not approve of "A PIRATES LIFE, RAPE - OTHER CRAP, STEALING, all in fun right ? do not understand. then again Bullies did not make me feel good either, in grade school. hope everyone had innocent fun.......
