"Outstanding" doesn't even begin to scratch the surface.....I've been singing over 35 years...I've listened to VS's MLK beyond 100 times, and it chokes me EVERY time! This is what all acapella singers should aspire to.
What's crazy is that in a lot of places, the fifth isn't even being sung. You just hear it in the overtone they create for being so well in tune. LOVE VOCAL SPECTRUM
for the benefit of those of us who love ad appreciate great singing and harmonics - and are perhaps a tad envious of not being able to sing as well - could you please point out where this open fifth is in the track? at what time point? Thanks!
My high school choir did this piece last year and it was in G Maj. I'm a bass so we can to hit low C towards the end of the song, and it made me sad when the bass in here didn't even go down to low D *fa*. Even high school basses can sing low C. Why no low D? Y u do dis?
Range is not what makes a group sound great, (although they all have monstrous ranges), it’s not what’s important at all. Vocal Spectrum sings with incredible technique and sings with so much emotion and power that range just doesn’t really rank in what makes them as good as they are. (For the record the bass has recorded a low B with them on their 3rd album just saying)

I was checking every few weeks to see if a live version of this song had been uploaded yet.
THANKS.

the bass is so epic at 1:39. love the way he slides
so beautifully done! Need to get your cd with it on it!
Wonderful! Perfect balenced sound and synchronisation (say you so?) Where can I buy this arrangement?
There is no sound in the universe more amazing than an open fifth between Chris Hallam and Jonny Moroni. They own that.
Dat undertone at 1:01-1:04
It's in A :)
Tim at 2:04
B-Flat Major I believe.
My keyboard rings out A major

It’s the lower and second lowest note in most of this song. The bass is on the root of the scale and the baritone is on the 5th note of the scale.
