He literally says in Heat, “I’ll kill you, I ain’t playing, hear what I’m saying homie I ain’t playin.” That’s not reporting about your environment, that’s glorifying violence. 50 was the hugest selling artist doing Pac and biggie numbers without having to die to get sales that high. 50 further raps about erasing Ja’s dirty a$$ kids, selling drugs and on high all the time acknowledges his impact on younger kids and says I’ll have a young n--- bucking $hit like he O-dog.
He was huge for years and promoting a lifestyle people loved to mimic. There’s countless others like him who are killing people in their songs for entertainment and shock value.
This Ross character reports on the bad stuff and some good stuff but who’s going to watch a positive video about a rapper? T.I. Visits school for blind kids, no one would click on that because we are trained to think rap is a negative thing that is fueled on hostility, competition, being the realest and violent behavior.

Mecca has a whole lot of suggestions of what a Trap Lore a journalist should do. Mecca said he was a journalist. Instead of sitting under a rapper host like Math that talks about killing. Why doesn't Mecca go take his time and make those videos about labels and contracts now.
A person making UA-cam videos is not a journalist. Journalism is a skill, most go to school to do. It’s more than just digging thru social media and lyrics.
About time somebody who knows how to have an intelligent conversation
sheesh Ross was eating mecca up LOL
Lmao this Mecca dude is on such a high horse it’s insufferable. His whole “you can’t be a Christian murderer” angle makes legitimately zero sense
Straight up that’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard
Mecca and Math are the type of guys who would crash out on the waiter for bringing them undercook steaks, non seasoned potatoes, instead of trying to talk to the chef and manager.
I would to y the fuck would u bring that to me u had a chance to make sure my shit was right
Mecc ah clown 🤦🏾♂️😂😭
Mecca miserable this episode, and he has this thing with his tone like what he’s saying is always 100% facts and he’s right your wrong
Lmfao Mecc literally waited ten minutes to say his first words and it was telling TLR that he doesn’t cover hip hop he covers crime… bro really thought he did something calling out a UA-camr
Why don’t the host grill the “gangster rappers” putting out the drill music instead of the dude making the documentary’s on facts 😂
Charlamagne said something similar “im just the radio guy”😂😂
Cause that’d be dangerous
how is it police work? these idiots are snitching on themselves in they own music
42:59 “let’s give the money from this show to Vons proceeds” nobody acknowledged that shit and Macca is just pissed a a Ross for existing
Mecca with this fake mad shit is annoying af. Ross is only doing journalism.
Adam the type of friend you need
Mecca is going to look back at how emotional he was about this a regret the fact that its not going to change anything. We can be verbose and semantic about where the culture i.e. gangsta vs criminal vs artist but, hip hop needs to stop with the trauma porn because people only make it to sell it in the first place. You dont have to like TLR and Adam but, they is absolutely show the hip hop community how we think our shit doesn't stink until someone shovels it back into our faces.
1:35:10 Mecca’s most emotional moment 😂 and people were trying to say “he never yelled”
No
rasta imposta on a serious case of menstruation, bleeding through the whole interview smh
Shit even math is rapping about being "the smack rapper that smacks rappers" then him and mecc tryna be all high and mighty and hold ross responsible for the violence in the streets.
Y’all don’t see the vulture in this though?
@@boososa I see victim mentality and lack of accountability . Like the ppl who bash Vlad instead of the rappers who go to him
@@boososathe one saying they serve fiends in their hood in their rap that they make us listen to in their vids since we wouldn’t listen otherwise. Selling drugs in your community is worse
Adam truly a real one to Ross for backing him up w/ a good choice of words💯🤝🏽
Mecc been tryna act woke than anybody in the room
Great conversation. But there is a thing called accountability that our black culture is missing. Ross isn’t glorifying. Adam on the other hand has been glorying and attempts to create issues.
I understand Mecc's intentions, but he never confirmed having watched any of Trap Lore Ross' documentaries.
If Mecc had quoted specific documentaries he saw to back up his point of view, it would have sparked a legitimate debate.
What happened was that he was defending points based on assumptions about the person in front of him, with little evidence to back up those assumptions.
He was getting emotional, taking his glasses off like Shannon Sharpe in front of Skip Bayless 😅. The only difference is Shannon had a reason, whereas Mecc was just emotional.
Mecc thought he can just go based on his views on hip hop and being a Black man.
Math really tryna defend Von not being a serial killer is insane 🤣
Plot twist trap lore Ross is a serial killer with 100s of body’s lol
Ross stood 10 toes; he not a gangsta he a civilian but he had a gangstas temperament
Mecca Crying for 3 hours is the hardest thing I've ever watched in my life....Math your a cornball too
Mecca is just all talk doesn’t even make sense
We need to protest for Mecca to EXIT the show
Frfr.
He's the type that sucks all of the fun out of all the rooms in all of the world. I get that hes smart, but dude needs to relax
I respect Ross. He is absolutely standing by his research in the face of his critics….and he does while being dressed like Harry Potter.
Mecc just mad that trap lore Ross is way better journalist then him mecc is a hater
🎯
Thats all it is.
How sway?
Ross ain’t no damn journalist. He’s a UA-cam content creator. Journalism is a honed skill. Akademiks ain’t a journalist either. Journalists operate off a code of ethics & present info without speculation and editorializing.
U 100%. Correct
This their worst episode. They deflect every point he made just because he's white lmaooo
😂Mecca's face😂😂
Mecca Is Mad at Himself! He always wanted to be a White Journalist 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 stop it!
lol
This dude trying to blame Ross for chi-raq shit is wild and points to the lack of responsibility and accountability in the community these guys are in.
I usually don't f with Adam22, but on this interview I loved his energy. Mecca was shit though !
russ just does documentaries, Mecc is just being disrespectful, everything Ross tries to explain he just shuts him down, people are interested in documentaries like Ross does, he doesn’t put anything out that hasn’t been done or said already
Right , they have National Geographic Bloods and Crips: L.A. Gangs there is nothing wrong about making documentaries
Trap took The W on this One!
Bro how is the blogger putting ppl in danger bout talking bout some that no one would know bout if the rapper aint rap tweet post nd talk bout it himsellf. Cmon now trippin. Ppl just wanna point fingers at ppl for som. Rappers rap bloggers blog
🔥🙏🔥
I’m not gonna lie Math and Mecca did not do their homework and spoke strictly off hearsay and social media clips not saying they didn’t have valid points however they definitely lost the debate
Crazy they try to bully this man for covering music people are saying in songs!! My people always need someone to blame!
How is it not journalism? He is reporting on topics and events that cover factual issues within the rap culture.
"In a generation were attention is the new currency and everyone want to be famous." That was well put
Mecca not a gangster so how can he validate who is or isn’t gangster
This the most work i seen mecc do in a while😂😂
The longer this interview goes the more I start to dislike mecca. He constantly playing the victim and pushing the narrative that Ross is profiting off of black lives being lost through hip hop... like he hasn't in the source for years. Math needs to get rid of him with this shit.
First and last time I listen to a math pod. Mecca thinks cuz he gets loud that he has a better point
Trap lore really understands the music that breakdown of uk drill using the British influence from garage and uk funky and early dubstep production. I always understood that connection and im American.
Dude in the middle is a complete hater lol
I can't believe King Trap was drippin' like he going for a job interview, TF🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hates mecc this ep bro , his arrogance and big headedness is so annoying! Like he can never be wrong EVER! He swears he’s coming from a moral place but he’s not ! He just loves picking arguments with people he think he can try intimidate but Ross held his own!
Ross took the criticism, stood on it and had valid points. Respect ✊🏿
Glad to see you're posting full episodes again. I understood you wanted people to join the membership but it only would have limited your views and money... Because a large amount of your views will always come from people who are not subscribed. I watched a whole year before I subscribed.
Mecc needs to understand, Ross is a historian and an unbiased journalist with his own platform. History needs to be written by someone and that is a gift Ross has, it should be respected, not challenged.
Math just be rambling 😂
At 9:46 i could already tell Mecca not even tryna understand. It’s very easy to understand that the UK scene is smaller than Chicago rap scene
