We just came back from Tusa where all lines of my grandparents families came from. It was amazing and our first trip there. I have decided to move there. They live longer than us because they know how to live!

This was great! My great great grand mother came over to New Orleans on a ship from Palermo... Had my great grandmother "Lillie" on the ship along with her twin brother!!! She was out to sea because they had unexpected bad weather for 2 mos. delaying her arrival! Can you imagine having your first child on a ship out on the high seas and having twins!!?? I've wanted to go to Sicily, Italy for a very very long time and named my youngest daughter Cicilie Marie Cinquemani Falbo! I will be going over to their channel on UA-cam for sure!! Great interview! Loved every minute of it! My mother was born in Woburn Mass. My father and she met in Boston in '43 and then we're married shortly after and he brought her and their two children to Texas two years later. They raised a family of 6 in Dallas, TX and my grandfather was a musician there and was famous, as well as his father, and they'd played all over the country together in a band! My grandfather Pop, or Joe Cinque, was what his students called him! He played and taught every instrument but was known for his Trumpet playing... He was so great and played for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for many years! Joseph Bernardo Cinquemani.. My father James Bernardo Cinquemani was a wonderful Dad and so was my mother Sophie. I want to go to Sicily very much, and one day I will and walk the streets of my ancestors too! 🙏

Thank you! What a beautiful story! Our travelers favorite experience in Sicily is when they walk on the streets their ancestors did. We have witnessed the joy so many times. Come to Sicily :)

Those talks about the "mafia" are interesting, but everyone is missing the point. If you watch all the statistics, Palermo and Sicily in general have the lowest crime and murder rates of all Italy. And Italy has one of the lower rates of crimes in Europe. Compare this to Chicago or any major US city... Sicily is one of the safest places to be in the entire Earth.

Exactly! But Eszter, Alfred, and so many people would like some visitors to not associate Sicily with the Godfather. It is just that Hollywood appeal, we guess. Thanks so much for watching. 😍

You are so right! Today's mafia is more into business not the mafia that existed during Falcone and Borsellino!

I am not sure if it goes on today, but the mafia use to build roads and schools in Sicily. It used to be the only way to get anything done. I am not pro mafia, just saying. The town Don use to address all kinds of issues within the town.

We hope not. As Eszter explains businesses and people in Sicily want to change the foreign perception and hopefully a fresh look will help boost tourism. Thanks for watching! 😍
