- This is a Virtual Reality tour of the Biblical Tabernacle.
It was an incredibly valuable structure. In today's currency it would probably be worth over $100,000,000.00 (100 million).
It was built by the Children of Israel, according to the instructions given them by God. Every part of it is filled with incredible symbolic meaning. It seems like every truth of the Bible can be found encoded in symbolic form in the Tabernacle!

(By the way, the Ten Commandments, Torah scroll, pot of manna, and Aaron's rod were stored inside the Ark for safe keeping. But in this video I have displayed them in front of the Ark so they can be seen by the viewer.)

This virtual tour is part of the Virtual Tabernacle project, which can be found at www.VirtualTabernacle.com. It is intended for google cardboard style VR headsets, Oculus Rift, smartphones, desktop computers, laptops, etc.
It can also be used by speakers and teachers to give instruction on the symbolic meaning of the Sanctuary.

I thought to do the same thing. Although this is the third time I’m reading the Bible cover to cover. It is interesting that each time different things make an impression.
Beautiful songs I remember as a boy growing up with my wonder Christian Father and Mother. Oh how I so much appreciate the extremely talented Christian song writers of yesteryear! Thank you. This is helpful as I read through Exodus. The size of it is surprising. With the numbers of people that would be bringing their sacrifice to the priests, I would expect the tabernacle to be bigger! It's numbers were like a good sized town wandering through the desert.

I am reading Exodus 26 where they explain how the tent of the Lord's presence was. I couldn't understand these descriptions until I saw this video. Thank you very much for making such videos that allow us to understand more the scriptures.

Cool! Thanks for the tour! Today, as I was reading through this part of the Bible, I wondered if there was a virtual tour.
As I read through Exodus I just kept trying to picture what the tabernacle looked like. Of course the best we can do is use our imagination, but if it was anything like the virtual reality video, my God what a sight that was! The people had to be in awe at that time as they laid eyes on it each day. Amazing!
Yes, you are right Sherry Sherry, those objects on the outside of the Ark (Ten Commandments, Torah scroll, pot of manna, and Aaron's rod) are only displayed on the outside in the video so that people can see them. But they would normally be housed inside the Ark at all times. Eventually I would like to have the Ark cover open as the viewer approaches so people can see the objects inside. Then I can have them inside the Ark instead of displayed on the outside.
For the time being I have the Ten Commandments and the Torah scroll floating above the ground in front of the Ark so that they are visible in the video.

Great job on this. Thanks for making it. A few suggestions to make this even better and more accurate: 1) music doesn't seem appropriate. try something more spiritual. 2) why is the altar on fire? that is distracting and i don't think it's accurate. 3) as you mention in your note in the comments, i think the ark area must be accurate since this is where God himself said he would dwell. The 10 commandment tablets and the other items should be inside the ark. Also, it does not show the cover of the ark with the gold cherubims. If you could make it so you first show the cover, but then it "flies" thru the cover and looks inside, that would be amazing. Or, you could have the front of the ark become translucent so we can see into it 4) as many have mentioned below, a free short notes pointing at various items would be super helpful. Maybe use the scripture quote itself where God instructs Moses what to build next to each item. Thanks again. This is really great.
Thanks for this splendid work. However I don't seem to see the mercy seat and the cherubim upon the ark box. Secondly the curtains of goat's hair covering the tabernacle. I wonder how this covering tent works when the altars are burning

So someone tell me how did the construct all of this from the lamps, 40 silver bases, curtains 45’ long, 50 bronze clasps, 15 ft high frames? This just boggles my mind on how they ever constructed this? What machines did the have? Where they get the thread, needles that much material? All that hold, where did it come from?
I was thinking the same thing. But I remembered that God told Moses to tell the people to ask all their Egyptian neighbors to give them whatever they asked so they received gold n silver jewelry n clothes n threads ect. They plundered them so it was used for the tabernacle. Amazing God.

Yes this is the issue with man God is very persice man is fallible that's why God said to Moses several times see that you make it after the pattern shown thee in the mount if we would truely study the sanctuary we will see that all of God's plans for our salvation and every prophecy are laid out in the sanctuary Asap PS 73 may God richly bless and reward us all for Christ Himself is in His Holy Sanctuary may all the world keep silent thy way oh Lord is in the sanctuary PS 77:13

If this service is understood, one will know Ps. 77:13, ... THY way o GOD is in the sanctuary. This is the type as Paul said. The true sanctuary of which this is a pattern is in heaven , Exodus 25:8-9, Heb. 8:1-2.
John saw in vision, the candlestick, Rev 1:13 and alter of incense Rev 8:3, 9:13, and the Most Holy place was opened and John saw the Ark of the Covenant or Ark of the Testimony which is the law of GOD showing it is immutable;Rev 11:19, 15:5, it is still there. JESUS is completing HIS work that started at the cross. JESUS was in the Outer court when HE was on Earth. The cross was the Brazen alter where He was the sin offering. The Laver, which represents cleansing, washing away sin, and baptism. See I Corinth. 10:1-2 Israel being cleansed from the sin of Egypt being baptized in the Red Sea.
JESUS, was baptised, HE fulfilled all rigteousneess, and it covers all who will not have a chance to get baptized , like prisoners who get converted.
JESUS is our great High Priest, HE is now at the last phase of HIS work on our behalf. Study the sanctuary, the type, HE using HIS own blood over the mercy seat on our behalf. HE is interceeding for us, in The Most Holy place, and like the type, we are in the great day of Atonement. It was the only time the High Priest went into the Most Holy place. For Israel, it meant victory over sin or cut off. For once the High Priest came out, there was no going back to the Most Holy place and the mercy seat to atone. Sin had to be put away. When The priest came out, the sin was put on the head of the scapegoat that was sent out to the wilderness Lev 16 . Likewise, sins will ultimately be placed other head of satan, the instigator of all sin from the beginning John 8 :44-45.
Again, we are in the great Day of Atonement. We should be by confession and repentance putting away sin through the power of CHRIST'S atoning blood. We should be preparing for HIS return. CHRIST will soon finish this work, and will take off HIS High priestly robes and put on HIS KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS robes. HIS reward will be with HIM. Rev 22:11-12 the decision will be final.

Sister this is our ancestors history. Priest of the tribe of Levi and decendent of Aaron were commissioned by YAH (GOD) to work in the Tabernacle. You may have not heard this before but you are a decendent of the Ancient people of Israel. Many of us around the world are walking up to this true by the spirit of the Most High. People of Negro decent make up the 12 tribes of Israel. This may be hard to believe but have faith there is a video to prove all of what I have stated. Go to on UA-cam and look for a channel called Watchman Yahu. He and his wife have put together a long documentary on proving our heritage. I rest assure you won't regret it nor waste your time. This is really nice! However, I would have liked to see the covering cherubs atop the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony. I also wish that the 2 tablets having the 10 commandments, the pot of manna and Aaron's rod that budded was shown to be inside the ark of the testimony, rather than beside it with the book of Moses. Thank you.

@@shan5445 I understand where you’re coming from, but it’s the Bible which teaches that the 10 Commandments, the rod of Aaron and the pot of manna were placed inside the ark, not SDAs.
This was beautiful, I appreciate those who go out of their way to give us a visual of what the Tabernacle looked like as I'm reading through Exodus now in Leviticus.

Where were the Cherub Angels??
The 19th century German rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch wrote a stunning analysis of the meanings of this Sanctuary analysing every detail down to the little knobs on the candelabrum and the horns on the altars. What he reveals is incredible and it just goes to show how deprived we really are that we lack this wondrous construction that serves as Gods dwelling place here on earth.
It's amazing to think that when the redemption happens, the Tabernacle (not temple) will return and God's presence will he with us in the promised land.
This is the true eschatology of the Torah.
But it will be on Mount Gerizim, not in Jerusalem.
All the nations will flock to Israel, the entire world will follow Torah and worship YHWH. Sin and transgression will cease to exist. We will be back in the Garden of Eden.
