- In this video we take a look at the steps required to replace the windscreen / windshield washer pump on an E60 M5. The video is also relevant to most other E60 BMW’s. The replacement was carried out due to the existing pump leaking- which a very common across many BMW models.
Part numbers-
Windscreen washer pump 67127302589
Windscreen washer pump grommet/strainer 61667006063

do you have to re-pressurise the headlight washer pump?
Refill the reservoir, then run the pump and the system will prime itself 👍
Hey mate il have to replace mine as well by the looks grrr lol where can you order them online? Cheers mate 👍
I got this one from Pelican Parts in North America. It’s a common BMW part so should be easy to find elsewhere too. Part numbers in the description 👍
@@MTechGuy thanks mate appreciate it 👍
@@lancelevan2821 No worries brother. Thanks for checking out the video & good luck with the repair 👍
Why you change the pump? If you change de rubber grommet/streiner shouldn’t be enough to avoid the leak?. No?
Shaft seal within the pump had gone, fluid was leaking from the pump weep hole- common problem. Sometimes the pump housing can crack causing leaks too.
Did you disconnect your battery 1st?
Nope
@@MTechGuy ok. I changed my pump without disconnecting my battery and now the car won't start. Guess I zapped something
