I had a 10th gen iPad ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA . Felt it getting pretty slow at times even after doing a reset. So I am using that as a tablet for my 5 year old son and got this 9th gen version. MUCH faster, a little slimmer, smaller bezels, all around a leap forward. Plus, for the price that’s about $130-$150 cheaper than a current new model this is a nice deal. I look forward to the M-series CPUs coming into iPads which will really help future proof these tablets better but these latest CPUs are pretty strong and should do better to last several years with no compromises.

What makes me cringe is seeing people scrape the backing plate of the device on a hard surface. Would it be asking for much if a repairer could use a rubber matt or something similar to negate the ipad from sustaining anymore damage ?
This is why I hate taking my stuff to repairers. You will get it back in worse shape albeit the new screen of course.

Do you know what might cause a rippling effect around the edge of the screen when touched? I just replaced the screen and Home Button
most probably a screw not properly sitting or any debris (like old glass pieces)

My dog just knocked my iPad out of my hand.....he’s done it a 1000 times and it fell no different....I thought. This time it hit a corner and it shattered. 🤦♀️😒 I want to cry. How hard is this to do? I used to replace my daughters old iPhone screen all the time but they have that glue now....used to be able to just pop it off...this has a cable?? Oh lord. Aren’t there places in the mall that do this? How much are those, do u know?
Well seeing as the UA-camr who made this video has not hit you up for 5 months. I will say it depends on the model. If you have the ipad air 2, you can get a replacement off amazon for around 25-60 dollars. or a certified apple screen off Ebay for around the same. They have kits that are really cheap and it comes with all the tools needed other then hair dryer. Watching a live demonstration on youtube vs a quick guide video like this one, you could easy be done in under an hour and a half no experience.
