That is disheartening. 🙁 Sometimes development is inevitable. But at least the government should have laws that are strictly enforced to protect/preserve or rescue the plants. Thanks for this enlightening video.
I dont get your point. You say that within 6 or 12 months this area will be sealed on the one hand. On the other you release seeds there. Would have been more reasonable to take the seeds and cultivate them. Or where is my mistake? CU 🙂
Why I’ve started growing from seed for these heavily poached species. To spread them around as much as possible so poaching isn’t as necessary. That’s my goal atleast. Another banger of a video. Have hope brother.
Only buy seeds, never fully grown plants. Growing from seed is 1000% more satisfactory and it really gives a connection to a plant that can't compare. It takes patients and talent to grow from seed. Much respect to those that cultivate this way.
Excellent documentary. Heartbreaking to see so much builders rubble dumped so carelesly. Builders do it here too and we live in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Mexico however haven't helped the situation by making certain cacti seeds illegal to cultivate as they originally were collected without permits. I can understand them doing this but it really doesn't help conservation. I now have several plants in my collection that I can't cultivate from. I can't see how me not being able to sell these plants will discourage folk from poaching wild plants?
Thank you! I agree that sometimes (many times) the laws meant to protect just end up making things worse. I would say cultivate away and don’t mind the Mexican government. No government should rule over nature. 💚🌵
Thank you for video! Just some thoughts: why there is no any group of people who would move the plant from destroy(danger) and continue to grow them in any protected place? Like it is done with orchids(when trees and forests are removed some people involved in plant protection get the orchids from the dangerous place and move to national park).
Thank you! It’s a bit complicated in Mexico because cacti are federally protected and it’s illegal to remove them. Just like in United States, the laws meant to protect them sometimes also get in the way of conservation. Thanks for watching 🤓
I personally think it should be illegal to disturb an endangered plant, even if you own the land. If it were an endangered animal, the law wouldn’t let you do it.

Thank you! I agree, we can’t stop human development but we can definitely do a better job at it 😅 Thanks for watching 💚🌵
It breaks my heart to see those plants struggle for survival💔I admire your devotion to helping endangered cacti Miguel🙏Well done my friend
It’s really sad but hopefully we can all make a difference 💚🌵 Thanks for watching Newman
Очень интересно, никогда не видела как растут кактусы в природе, но теперь, благодаря Вам, имею представление! Спасибо большое, grazie 😊😊😊
You’re very welcome, thanks for watching!
Thank you for all the top tier content that you've been uploading! Totally underrated.
Thanks so much for joining out adventures! 🤓
ECC, you’re the bomb. Tons of prickly wisdom. Always 7 steps ahead on what’s needed conservation wise! Great vid buddy! 🌵
Thanks so much and thanks for watching! We can all do a little bit and change the outcome for these beauties 🌵
Great video, mate.
Thank you and welcome to the channel! 💚🌵

I use my platform to promote never removing ANYTHING from habitat, no matter what.

Thanks my friend! Keep germinating seed, that’s definitely the way 🌵

Lovely soundtrack
Thank you!! 🙂
Good evening
Same to you 🙂
Let’s go save the plants!!!
Definitely definitely we’re at the very least let’s leave them alone 💚🌵
🔥
🙏🏽
That was a sad watch. Were you able to save any of them?
It was really sad to see.. it’s a federal crime to remove them in Mexico so unfortunately nothing can be done since it’s already a condominium 😔
But leaving them buried by buildings is very sad😢 @@RareCactus

I agree. But that would mean we value nature over money, and that’s sadly not the case for many 😔
Really makes me fighting mad!
It’s really sad!
