I’m doing a Polish Project Pan, but it’s different from yours. I picked 5 polishes at the beginning of the year to wear from Jan-April. I did wear those 5 the majority of the time, but I also allowed myself to wear other polishes when the mood struck. I did a lot better than I thought I would. For May-Aug I’m refreshing all 5 polishes with brighter spring and summer colors. For Sept-Nov I’m still deciding, but I’ll most likely bring back some of the polishes from Jan-April. For Dec I’ll use my holiday polishes. Most of my project polishes are at least 5 years old. My goal is to use the older polishes up, although I know it won’t happen this year. I wear manicures for multiple days, and sometimes take a break from wearing any. This is my first year, but I hope to keep it rolling for a few years. I enjoy seeing your progress! It helps keep me motivated! 💅
That sounds like a great plan! I'm picking out 10-15 polishes to wear per season since last spring, storing away the others (still accessible) but it makes the weekly mani easier and fun, and I know I'm finally getting use out of everything eventually.
@@agingophelia9812 Thank you! I wasn’t sure if wearing the same 5 polishes was going to get boring to me or not. I didn’t mention above b/c the post was already long, but I did bring in a matte topcoat, an iridescent shimmer topcoat, and a darker based topper (CG’s Wildflower Hour) to help add some variety. I’m keeping the same topcoats for my refresh, but switching to a lighter colored topper (CG’s Better Than Nectar). I think just looking at a few of my polishes rather than my large collection made it easier on my brain too. I equate it to going to a grocery store and deciding to try a different cereal and then just staring at a wall full of choices rather than just having 5 cereals to choice from in the first place. Seriously, how many different cereals do we need!! It sounds as if you’ve found a plan that works great for you too! Is last year your first year?
@@AceKitty-di9yr Well, first year in a long time. In the last couple of years, watching Iris and a couple of other people with interesting nail content has made me fall in love with manis again. But you're so right about choice. It's why I put away some of my makeup every season, and bring it out later during the time of year I'm most likely to wear those shades.
@@beautybees thank you! I watched quite a few project pan and project polish videos to get ideas of what I liked and what I didn’t. Then I just tried to put a plan together that would be realistic for me.

That sounds like a really fun way to structure a project!
