- Hi everyone, welcome back!
I decided to do another piece... I can't help myself, these are just too much fun!
I am using colours that are usually not in my colour pallet (I am more of a blue and purple and turquoise kinda gal) but I figured I should try it anyways. I love the end result!

-12x12" Canvas
-Flood Floetrol
-Conair Hair Dryer purchased at Walmart
-Culinary Torch
Colors Used (purchased at Michaels):
-Dark Cobalt Violet Hue by Pebeo Studio Acrylics
-Metallic Cobalt Blue by Artist's Loft
-Opaque Primary Yellow by Pebeo Studio Acrylics
-Cadmium Red Light Hue by Liquitex Basics

Your Dad really spoiled you with that beautiful studio after your career took off. But I remember those days and thank you for your channel and your teaching and wisdom through fire. You are amazing

Hey Kanella. I have been watching your videos for weeks now. Most of them are in the #150 and above. I just found this earlier one. I love the way you have used news paper and the process just looks so not complicated. I have noticed that there is so much STUFF out there you can get... but simple is better. You have been great from the beginning. Thank you for your inspiring pours!!!!!!!!

Kanella, this is the first time I have seen an early video of you painting. Your technique with the blow dryer is astounding. You said you were nervous about blowing it out, but I couldn't tell that. I love this painting and I really enjoy your videos.
WOW!! Those colors are so pretty and the composition...perfect.
Mary Haldeman thanks Mary!!
Oh how beautiful !!! You have certainly made a lot of paintings since this one. And yet your work studio may have changed immensely your painting is still a 5 out of 5 Rose rating. Tkyu for sharing. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Love it. My first will be with silver, gold, black and teal blue. Think they will be awesome together.
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
Oh wow love this one kinda reminds me of an OLDIE MOLDIE cartoon I watched as a kid,... a bumble bee close up abstract style. But I do not remember the name of the cartoon but this painting totally made me have a major flash back triggered by looking at ur painting. So thank u for the memory
bullwinkle the moose?
The first thought that came to mind was "WOW" !!!!
I never thought the result could look that pretty for I was nor convinced with the choice of colors... and still it does look aerial and transparent like bone china... I just love it ! Bravo

Oh cool even here a few years LIKELY when I first discovered this medium, before I even had subscribed to anyone. You are such a pro and an OG of Paint pouring!! Proudly Canadian meams youre also a wise woman who knows how lucky we are to be here. Youve taught me alot and this piece looks alot like a deconstructed bloom.. Loved your Blob paintimg. Like Saskia smit from 6 years ago!! Wow thank god for your videos they age really well! I will end my comments now. I REALLY didnt want to leave long ones LOL so I will explain; I use alot of your colour ideas. They work beautifully together in other pouring techniques. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wow you have come so far in the last couple years,it gives me hope as I will be starting my 1st little Dutch pours modified blooms this weekend on my 4x4,6x6,8x8 ceramic tiles I got at my local Restore all 33 tiles for $10 if they aren't any good I will peel them and use the paint skins on polymer clay blanks,or my wooden earring blanks and make earrings 😀 lol

Ok I’m sold, hair dryer it is, looks amazing 😍 although I can bet the first time I switch the hair dryer on I’ll redecorate half the room with paint!
matt gurney hahaha it’s not as bad as you think.
Exactly what I did. I had to go out and buy a less powerful hair dryer lol
matt gurney 👍🏼😂😂😂
matt gurney I got a box with deep sides and took it into the kitchen. I didn’t get paint on anything but my pour was ridiculous.
The travel hair dryers are less powerful, I’m going to try this 😀😀
It’s Beautiful ❤
Like it! Beautiful!

Hi, I just recently subscribed to your channel. Just started pouring and learning. I am very impressed with your work. I want to thank you for all the information that you give about your pours. Others don’t go into detail the way you do. So thanks, and your work is beautiful.

Kanella, I have been watching videos and researching for about 6 months now...practicing and learning. Your videos are both inspiring and so fun to watch. You are a truly gifted artist! I recently had elbow surgery (5 days ago)...yep that was fun lol So for the next 6 - 8 weeks I am going to watch your journey from video # 1 to the latest since, I won't be able to continue my fluid art journey for a while. Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge and your journey! Cheers from Windsor ON!
That’s going to be a long journey of watching. Have fun! 😊
It really turned out quite good. Your colors blended beautifully. I really like it.🎨👍🏼

Heather Mader Art thanks Heather!! Personally, for me, I find it much easier to control the air flow that way 😊

That is so beautiful, I am new at acrylic pouring and I am excited to try one of this technique. I look forward to seeing more of your videos
Barbara Harding thanks so much Barbara
Kanella, That was amazing! I have ALWAYS hated cells, and haven't purchased a torch because I didn't want cells in my paintings, but you just changed my mind! When the violet came through the white on your painting I was sold! Thank you so much for showing me how useful a torch can be! Mari
thanks Mari! A torch is a very useful tool in the acrylic and resin world... :)
Wow I am blown away with your picture, plus good information. I suppose you keep the hairdryer close to the picture so the paint glides across the white. I heard about this dirty pour recently and started watching videos. I think I subscribed to 81 so far 😀 I have learned so much by watching for a couple weeks and now I am experimenting, the dirty pour is nice enough but I personally like more of a challenge and I love the negative space and not a total cover up. This is a beautiful technique 💗
Anna Maillet thanks so much for the kind words Anna! I keep the hairdryer close to keep the paint from splattering everywhere
I finally took step one and purchased some paint. I’m a huge fan of your work. We’ll see how some of this technique goes.
Thanks so much Kim! Give it a go! I’m sure you’ll have fun creating art 😊
So NICE LOVE THE COLORS
Uncomplicated beauty! I can't wait to try your technique! Thank you!

Thanks so much Shirley! :)
Love how you make it seem so easy. It’s beautiful!
Beautiful!!! I fear I would get lightheaded from blowing on the paint and end up falling face-first into my painting. 🤣
same here
😂😂😂
Omg!!! That looks like an orchid!!!
Beautiful piece. Before you blew out the blue at the sides it made me think of an iris. It looks more balanced after though. Beautiful!
Thank you Karen. I appreciate the kind words.
That came out amazing I’m eager to give this method a try
