My Railway, My Story - Episode 1: The Mombasa-Nairobi Railway

The Chinese-built Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), embarked on the inaugural trip in Mombasa on Wednesday. It’s the country’s largest infrastructure project since independence. Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said the railway marks a new chapter in the history of Kenya. Kenyan and Chinese railway workers tell the story of the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway line together in their own words. Take a look!

Beautiful railway station buildings and fantastic high speed trains. This high speed railway, as an efficient and modern transportation system, puts Kenya on the map as a proud country with foresight. We in Vietnam is also conducting feasibility assessment of similar high speed railway system with China. Hope that one day we would have one as good as yours. Well done Kenya.
