So far it’s been money well spent. No hiccups, failures, or really anything beyond what’s stated in the video. As of today I’d suspect it’s logged about 10+ hrs of active use time. The switching between F and C is explained in the instruction manual. It takes a couple minutes to figure out but nothing impossible.
I just bought this station recently on AMZN. Got Black Friday for $32. Seems great. Did check temperature calibrations and fairly linear but 20+ degrees too cold. Set an offset and very good within 10 degrees from 350 to 700. I cannot find extra tips for sale.
I have the exact same unit. Hard to get the 600M soldering tips. I think I have may just found some on ebay. They'll take at least a month to get here. The Chinese can produce a tool on the cheap, but it seems like they don't want to you use for years. The Hakko tips may work.
It’s been a true performer. As shown in the vid I purchased a load of spare tips so I haven’t had the need yet to source or cross-reference replacements.
Hello, great review! Can you help me find the kind of tips this one uses? Just bought one without tips and after seeing your video I couldn't find any 600M style tips. Thanks!
In 6-7 years do you think you'll be able to find tips for it? I've been on the edge looking at buying this tonight and cannot find ANY tips for it. There are people asking in the questions that post links but they just lead to other soldering irons, not tips. I see tips for sale on Amazon, but not for 600 series. If you go to the sellers store, they don't list any tips. If you have a link, please share it, otherwise this is a deal breaker for me. Hope yours lasts as long as your previous one.
*Finally* found valid link: amazon . com /Soldering-BAKON-BK-6001-6D-BK-600SK-BK-6003C/dp/B08MDX3X44 Gonna give this station a try. Would have preferred a Weller, but not the same as they used to be.
Tip Link is now dead, no more tips available on amazon or anywhere else I've looked, won't order them from china. Unit will get returned in 2 weeks if they don't stock more tips. Just more chinese vaporware.
@@FrankenLab Both surprising and unfortunate. My unit is still going strong with no hint of issue. Aside from Amazon it’s still being sold on eBay and a few other outlets. The lack of tips seems odd as there were no shortage at the time I bought mine. Looking at other tips, visually it looks like the HAKKO brand are the same but won’t know for sure unless some were purchased and tested for fit.

On sale for $30 on Amazon right now. So far I’m very impressed. Although it seems like it only uses proprietary tips. 😢

looking to buy the current version that's on amazon that is being sold under the "Bakon" brand; how's it holding up?
I cannot find the tips on Amazon can you give us a link to them
So far I'm loving mine. The only issue, I can't get the temperature to register from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

Are you still happy with this iron? Any luck cross referencing consumables? I'm looking at buying 2 for my shop. Thanks for making your video!

Excellent! Thanks for your review of this. It's great to see a true professional using lower price equipment and giving an honest review.
Any updates on the feedback of this station? Thank you
Just added an update below.

Hi,because 600M is only produced by Bakon company
@@fujennifer9324, вместо 600M хорошо подходят Quick 960 наконечники.
Is it transformer based soldering station or smps?
Will it take Weller or other soldering tips?
I dont know. If I get some Weller tips to test I'll update the desc.
Unit has been removed by Amazon, tips out of stock and no longer available on Aliexpress either. Vaporware
Back as Bakon brand...
