I'm by no means a fan of Corden, but isn't it a bit unfair that a channel that likes to preach peace and love is going after an individual's character and career? I have news for you… the country of Ireland IS independent. There’s just one remaining chunk of the island of Ireland that the UK still holds on to. But, I doubt that’ll last too many more years. Northern Ireland is doing better than the rest of the UK at the moment as they’ve been allowed to retain some of the benefits of EU membership. Brexit was always fundamentally incompatible with the GFA and anyone who thinks leaving the customs Union and single market is economically illiterate. Isolationism is stupid. The cost of living crisis is fuelled by shortages in the labour market which need to be resolved by allowing more immigration.
