This cover perfectly matches my vibes at the moment. I just got the worst news of my life. I may have breast cancer. Im 15. 15 years old, and my world is literally disintegrating before my eyes. Im in so much pain that it hurts to lay down. My arms and shoulders are numb and achy. My face is puffy from crying. Reality is harsh man.
Edit(9/4/22): I’m alive lolz. I live at home again now and have been improving. I don’t have hair though and kinda look like Gollum but its chill. Thanks for all the well wishes and concern!
Edit(6/2/23): Hi! Its been a really long time and thank you all for your support! Im doing significantly better. I just turned 17 last month. I never elaborated but to keep it short my body naturally makes wayyyyy too much progesterone and too much progesterone can cause cancer. Its incredibly rare for breast cancer to occur in teens but it is possible, Im living proof of that. Puberty basically was my downfall. But if Ive learned anything its to LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!! This all started from a random pain I felt when I was 14 and decided to ignore. Two days after I turned 15 I was diagnosed. This year has had its struggles but next year Im going back to school full time for my senior year. Life is good. Bless you all.

as someone with chronic health issues, mental and physical, whos health keeps declining, this song is the most comfort i have. genuinely. every time i see a new symptom, or notice something old coming up again, or have to give up on another thing i enjoy, i open it back up. it feels like everything is gray and dirty and rotting, but this song makes me feel like in some tragic kind of way, its beautiful.

i have synesthesia and i always come back to this because the colors i get from listening to this are always so vivid!! as the world caves in is resigned and melancholy and i get shades of blue from it, while cancer has so much raw emotion and a little anger in it that gives me bright scarlet, and that damn near angelic part at “now turn away” reverberates into this rich and perfect purple where the red and blue marble together completely but still manage to stay distinct, it’s incredible!! very few songs make my synesthesia react like this, so this one is special :)

I feel like this is between two lovers on doomsday. They both accepted it, but when the final hours come closer, red begins to deny it. Maybe they can live through it. Maybe it's a hoax. As the song goes on, red make it more and more clear how hard they've had to fight to make it here; now they have to give it all up? Blue insists it'll be okay, yet red is scared by their own mortality. They put off kissing blue because that feels like it'll be accepting this. That this will be their final moments. That they will never get married. They'll leave each other after fighting so hard and so much to be together like this; because the world collapsed under its own, heavy, evil weight. Blue walks up to the camera, yet isn't visibly the one who shuts it off. Red is. Blue is waiting for red. Red shutting off the camera is them accepting this fate and finally kissing blue

this is genuinely one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. your voice is absolutely incredible, i would do anything to have half of the talent that you do. the song “as the world caves in” already has the heaviest and strongest impact upon my entire existence. but hearing this cover reminds me of all of my triumphs and failures in love & life, and every time i listen to this i feel like i’m experiencing every emotion i’ve ever known at once. the song “cancer,” also has a slightly profound impact upon myself, so the contrast and general harmony between the songs is completely ethereal. i hope whoever is reading this (if anyone) knows that they are valued and loved. i hope we’ll interact again in our future lives

Watching someone you love and care with cancer, but don’t want to accept it. This is what this song made me feel it made relive those days. She passed away in December but damm this song made me sob like a fucking child, I didn’t cry when she passed I didn’t accept it. It’s like this shows both sides of that horrible pain. We each had our own perspective of that terrible time but almost the same painful moment. I feel like I found closure with this.

my take: the blue side is the person that realizes they have feelings for red side, but reds already moved on and they’re confronting their feelings, when the roles are switched w blue yearning for red and red moving on, when the original was red yearning for blue and blue not having a clue

My take is that the blue side longs to be with the red side yet he didn’t realize that he hurt red that bad. Red is trying to move on but blue is stuck wondering where he went wrong and still has hope that they will make it.

I can't even express how much I love your movements when you sing. It just shows so much emotions and its beautiful. I always come back to this song whenever I'm anxious. It helps me calm down so much. The melodies blending together make me happy stim and it helps distract me from whatever might be causing my panic attack. Please keep up the good work!
