    This is the second review I'm watching from you. Last one was the ThinkPad E14 gen2 years ago which I bought then. You have a unique and refreshing style of reviewing. You are giving real user insight rather than describing things everybody can see and find online. Keep it up!

    Could you please tell me how strongly it holds the display to keyboard once it gets attached. Will I be able to use it on my lap while travelling?

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  5 років тому +4

      So the strength of the magnet for the keyboard to the screen is same as the Dell 5285 and 5290 and the Surface Pros. They are strong enough to work on your lap but if you are doing some pretty hardcore keyboard bashing then it will give slack for the top part of the magnet but the bottom part where it is connected to the laptop's side will be still connected. The thing about working this type of frame on your lap is that the kickstand's edge over time on your lap digs into your thigh a bit.

    With all due respect, you should honestly do your reviews in better lighting conditions. Otherwise, good reviews.

      Welcome to my videos Tremaine Roberston, thank you for your feedback. I understand my lighting conditions isn't the best for video and I'm slowly tweaking the lighting and improving on it as I slowly get funds for it. As I'm looking to do this for a bit of time I so rather slowly get quality products for the long run then just cheap quick fix, so please bare with me as I continue building my studio. Hoping in my current and later videos there is lighting improvements. =)

    Hi, my workplace provided me with the Latitude 7200 2-in-1 with the keyboard cover and the pen. The pen has a tether that it came with, but I cannot figure out where on the device the tether can go. I know the pen is magnetic but I would prefer the security of the cord. Do you have any idea where it can tie on to the tablet?

    Thanks a lot man. A great review.
    I have a question, as said RAM is soldered here, but SSD, WIFI card are serviceable.....in the older 5290 version which of these are upgradable/serviceable?
    RAM
    SSD
    Battery
    Also it would have been better if we could hear both 5390& 7200 playing a video/audio at different volume levels from low then medium and all the way to the max.
    One more thing, top line versions of the older 5390 have thunderbolt 3 instead of USB-C so I am little quorius which model with model number did you buy and what's it's configuration?
    Thanks and best of luck for future videos

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  5 років тому

      Thanks Vikas, with the older 5290 it is in the same boat as the 7200, everything can be upgradable besides the RAM and CPU I forgot to mention in the video. When the RAM or CPU has fault, Dell will replace the system board on these. Unlike the Surface Pros, Dell techs can easily remove the system board (though it is takes the longest time in terms of labour compare to the other parts to remove the system board). Answering the question fully the SSD and Battery are be upgradable/serviceable (slot or port base).
      As for the 5290 I don't think there is a thunderbolt 3 version of it, it is stated here in Dell site (www.dell.com/support/article/au/en/aubsd1/sln305150/some-systems-with-usb-type-c-port-lack-a-thunderbolt-3-controller?lang=en) I found out the hard way when a Dell TB16 was purchased with the 5290 and couldn't get it working.
      For the comparison of the sound of the 7200 and 5290 I can happily make a separate video to demo this. I was considering doing this anyway be keep it separate in case youtube hits up copyright on the music and don't remove the audio off this main review video. I will link it once it is done.

      @@BsianTech thanks a million for the valuable info. It will help me a lot. By the way, I went to the Dell US site and double checked regarding the thunderbolt 3 availability on 5290. It looks like it's available on few models with both i5 and i7(it's optional). Here's the link-
      www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/compare?ocs=cto35290132n1us,cto45290132n1us
      I also read on a Reddit post that thunderbolt 3 is available on few models.
      Waiting for the sound video, if possible compare the two models with surface pro 6 also.

    whats the different between Latitude 5290 and 7200?

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  4 роки тому +1

      So went from Black to Silver colour finish, it now has a new keyboard, I fee it is heavier than the 5290 keyboard but 7200 keyboard feels better to type on with the material of the palm rest. Speaker improvements I feel its cleaner the sound quality from it (I did a video for this ua-cam.com/video/07cMaUC_uXY/v-deo.html). Also a very very minor processor bump up barely noticable. If you already own a Latitude 5290, keep using it I wouldn't think its worth the upgrade, use it till it dies or better upgrade comes.

    Good for gaming?

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  5 років тому +2

      Hi Lorenzo, welcome to my videos. The latitude 7200 2in1 in its current form I wouldn't advise for gaming, it be able to do the simple facebook games and flash base games but the Intel graphics is pretty basic. If you invest in an eGPU then you can do some hardcore gaming. eGPU would connect to the thunderbolt port in this laptop to provide some more serious graphics power. Hope that helps.

    The specs look the same as the 5290 2-in-1. So weird.

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  5 років тому

      Marc Panther, the 7200 and 5290 2-in-1 are very similar in specs, only very very minor performance increase (very very small) for CPU and brighter screen, 5290 was 340 nits and the 7200 is 400nits. That's really mostly the difference along with keyboard cover change which is the major difference I think.

      @@BsianTech i suppose they discontinued the 7285? I have it right now, I am about to pick a new Dell 2in1, but seems like theres only a kickstand now. Seems like a downgrade with all the bezels. Not sure if I should replace the 7285 with the 7200 or just prolong the warranty on mine. I do feel like the 7200 may be at least more powerful with the cooling? I like the 7285 design a lot, like a lot
