Kyo always seems so soft spoken. I think he has a hard time having a conversation at first but then you notice he gets his thoughts in order and he starts speaking more comfortably.
It's such a contrast from onstage, because obviously people are different when they don't have the energy and adrenaline from the show. But still. So quiet and soft. An eerie calmness. It's so soothing and nice whilst also being a little freaky

I think the way he speaks in the beginning is because he is choosing his words carefully. Observing from his way of speaking in this video, every word he is saying is in honorific Japanese. Speaking in honorific shows respect and that's what he did here. He really wanted to show his professional respect to Sugizo.
I do know that Japanese mostly don't understand sarcasm, but he seems like a sarcastic person making fun of everyone, like he has these inside jokes between him and well...him. :D

I was watching some early interviews, and he speaks in a normal speed. Also his body language is shy but normal. Here he looks tired, maybe he is taking some medication, drugs, alcohol or all at the same time, who knows!! The contrast between this interview and his stage presence does not make sense, he is such a top front man live, a demon if you will, but here he looks numb. I read he doesn't like interviews either. Kyo is an amazing singer.
