Caius Filimon Rifters trilogy by Peter Watts. Here is a bunch of hard scifi authors worth sharing: Greg Egan, Greg Bear, Stanislaw Lem, Isaac Asimov, Alastair Reynolds, Arthur C. Clarke, Larry Niven, Vernon Vinge, Stephen Baxter, Jacek Dukaj.

Very similar in some aspects (hero is usually a male badass who has sex with every good looking woman that comes his way, has no hesitations about violence, whilst somehow staying kind of morally right.) There's a bit more focus on the main story than Hamilton's stuff (less descriptions and parallel plots). There's some brilliant tech ideas, immortality is possible if you're rich; but in a different way than in the Commonwealth universe. The politics are well thought through and are extremely relevant to today's situation. This reminds me, the Vorkosigan saga is a really good one too. Written by a woman for a change, so it's sometimes less cliché than Hamilton.
still my fav of his albums ... onlything that could make it better would be putting ''unleash'' and ''calling mercury'' in it aswell x) ..... so when will we get another one ???

+Caius Filimon Try the Takeshi Kovacs novels by Richard K Morgan, I rate them as much as Hamilton's work.

Liking close your eyes a lot, increasingly playful intro, rhythm is decent, very lifting yet soothing melody, accompanied by well placed transitions
Anomaly is stupid intense and I love it.

Its definitely difficult finding the best one, but in my opinion definitely the best dark db album, so far.
