🚀 Intermediate Vocabulary Class: Getting Ready - With Kat Teacher
Description:
🎧 Welcome, learners, to our special Intermediate Vocabulary Class focused on the theme of 'Getting Ready' for your day, hosted by Kat Teacher, your American English guide. Whether it's preparing for school or gearing up for work, this class is designed to help upper beginner and lower intermediate students enhance their English vocabulary and gain confidence in their speaking and listening abilities.
In this class, Kat will introduce you to essential daily routines in a clear and slow manner, ensuring you understand every word and phrase. Here's what you can expect to learn:
1.) Putting on Makeup: Discover phrases like "put on makeup," "put on mascara," and more. Understand the sequence and choice of words in phrases like "Do you put makeup on in the morning?" and "I like to put on a little makeup before work."
2.) Shaving: Learn about the process of shaving, including necessary items like "shaving cream" and "razors." Phrases such as "First, I put some shaving cream on, then I shave with a razor" will be broken down for clarity.
3.) Styling Hair: Explore how to talk about styling hair, whether it's curling, straightening, or using products like "hair gel" and "hairspray." Learn to express preferences and daily routines with sentences like "I usually put a little gel in my hair to style it."
4.) Packing Your Bag: Understand how to discuss packing bags for different occasions, using phrases like "pack your bag," "Did you finish packing your backpack?" and "I packed my briefcase quickly this morning."
5.) Using a Zipper: Get familiar with the action and vocabulary related to zippers, including "zip," "unzip," and phrases like "I just need to zip up my bag" or "I can't unzip my jacket."
Kat's teaching style ensures that you not only learn the vocabulary but also understand the context and usage in everyday life. For those seeking more advanced content, Kat also invites you to check out over 20 episodes of fast-paced, naturally spoken English dialogues on their podcast, High Level Listening, available here on UA-cam.
Don't miss this opportunity to improve your intermediate English with Kat Teacher. Engage with the content, practice the phrases, and enhance your confidence in English.

You're the best teacher, like Mark,it's really fun to follow your lessons,
When I woke up and took my phone,I just had a look at youtube,my purpose was not to watch your video, but I saw it under the one I was targetting, then I changed the idea immediately for watching yours because I knew it's always special,...I watched this video more times and for that,I was late to getting ready to work,I left home without styling my hair and half zipped my backpack,..I also forgot to put on makeup,
haha, oh nooo I'm sorry you were a bit late for work! Well at least you got your study lesson in today and you were able to use all your new phrases easily! Tell your boss I said you were a great student, that's why you were late..... hehehe
I love you❤❤❤

Put a little gel in my hair or on my hair. Which one is correct?
In my hair sounds like all of your hair and on your hair sounds like just on the top, so I guess it depends on where you’d like to put the gel ☺️ hope that helps!
I give you 5 🌟 and 5❤

Hey Kat teacher I have a question for you could you explain to me or us little more suffixe and prefixes in your next video if would you do that for me I could appreciate it 🎉🎉🎉
Hi, good morning! Would love to help if I can, what kind of suffix and prefix would you like to learn about? That's probably more of an advanced video, but there are some patterns we could go over, let me know!
i'm a beginner in english and i need a teacher to help me. how can i find more of your classes or take classes with you?
Hi good morning! We have a playlist of all our intermediate classes, 6 in total!

Hi coach can i ask you a question please
Yes of course!
I'm confused about the pronunciations of these words
( Getting. Sitting. Waiting. Hitting starting) some people pronunce them by using glottal stop rule while other people pronunce them by using flap t rule
It will depend on the person, the region, the accent, the dialect and many other factors.
As a general rule, in the southern parts of England and in Scotland, I think you are more likely to hear the glottal stop double-T. Someone from Scotland might even say they are "Sco'ish'".
Also if you stay in England, you're more likely to hear the a glottal stop in words like "dirty, party" instead of the Flap T rule.
The Flap T rule is more common in the USA, where the letter "T" starts to sound more like a "D".
This is very general rule, and there are obviously exceptions depending on accents and dialects, but hopefully that helps!
Thanks alot coach this just i was confused about that, hearing americans using both rules in same words as though it depends on the person who talk. Now i Can sit and breath well... I'm franken from french speaking country and i like american english maybe more than my language french, all that began when i was at teenage age, first time listen to eminem song( cleaning out my closet ) from that time i fall in love i Can in american english but wasn't able to understand anything so from there buying Books dictionaries and all things that help to starting english, by myself at home without someone's help until today. That's so incredible and funny but yeah now Can understand and speak alittle abit
And Mark?
Mark will be back for our advanced English episodes tomorrow, Monday and Wednesday!
@@highlevellistening thank you.
where is mark
We felt the intermediate and beginner classes were easier with one teacher for starting, he’ll be around for the rest of our advanced videos ☺️
Where is mark sir today?
He'll be back for our video today :)
In third question, I do it. I shave
Very good! Well done using the language 👏
I don’t like to put makeup on in the morning I like my skin to be natural
great! I put a little makeup on for this video, but I don't usually like to put any on because my skin doesn't like it!
@@highlevellistening you’re so beautiful 😍 kat
