Felt it was often a "lowest common denominator" track of thinking. The majority often favours the "easiest" option to understand, which is why portions of the world end up thinking in 1's & 2's, this or that, black or white, etc. Nuance is disregarded in favour of simplicity. It's one thing for it to be a disappointing way of thinking when it comes to politics, but it's even more tragic when similar thought processes are applied to day to day life or casual exchanges. Getting too caught up in matters that cannot be contributed to, nor can you have an meaningful impact without being born into such lifestyle.. Is definitely a reason why I focus more on leaving decent impressions with people and making quality memories. As I feel it's the healthiest approach to living with little regret. Though it's always nice to think about stuff, in private or in good company, when stuff comes to mind. 🍵
could it be that the “easiest option to understand” still comes from the “brain likes easy. brain likes convenience. brain does this so it would survive” sort of tendencies? 🤔 That approach you mentioned in the latter part is totally understandable. I, myself, feel like if I think about all of the things that are going on in the world, I would just be paralyzed and it would prevent me from actually contributing something meaningful.
