Awesome podcast thoroughly enjoyed had a question from a person that frequently watches your channels and diaspora Do you have dual citizenship and if so how did you go about acquiring? Having difficulty figuring it out here 🇺🇸.
@Oshay tooting your own horn huh? 😂Well done the both of you. Binge watched Rachel’s channel when I first discovered it. Time to get another perspective @kenganda.
You discussed about the insights birthed by a change of environment. I so much agree, and hearing you highlight some of those differences has been truly insightful. What Oshay said about what was stolen from the African American was so insightful and sad at the same time. I can only hope that the coming generations can bridge the divide between the African American and her roots. Lastly, Nalumu, you are a great interviewer. Clearly most of the insights would have remained buried had it not been for your thoughtful questioning. Thank you. Mwebale nyo.
GREAT video :-) !!!! Loved the interview, and the information provided by you, and Oshay. It's giving me a lot to think about, as i want to repatriate to the continent next year. Uganda is one of my choices of places to go. Thanks for this! :-)
Yeah I love this guy ! He sounds so professional he explains everything really well. He looks like he’s doing big things and still down to earth definitely would love to follow him on all platforms
This guy that you love just endorsed Donald Trump and falsely claimed that Black women in America are the real problem. That's all I'm going to say about that.
@@sleepandmeditationtv5540 I used to think democracy allows each individual to vote for whoever he or she feels comfortable maybe I’m wrong. Second his opinions are personal so it would be better not to take offense but try to figure. Third as they say it’s just business nothing personal.

Rachael, really enjoy the interview with ODJ; time well spent. Hopefully, you'll be interviewing other diasporans who are making a difference in Uganda in the future. Toronto, Canada.
This was a good interview. I coincidentally just had this conversation with my black American friends here in Italy, then I bumped into this video. Now more than ever many of them are exploring the option of living in Africa. I'll be sharing this.
Great interview Rachael. OSHAY is the man. P.S. don’t worry about the haters Rachael. Your absolutely a gorgeous, petite, and intelligent black woman. Love your smile🤗

I wouldn’t want to say it’s a misconception to say black men don’t like black women because that would take away from the actual struggle in the black community with colorism, something the black community usually doesn’t like talking about .
The flower is distracting... creates a separation between the host and the guest...but brings in colour so maybe it should be somewhere at the end. Great content Nalumu
That is one of the draw backs to me about life in Africa. You have to know SOMEBODY to get anything done. In America racism aside if you can deliver you do not have to know anyone! Obviously in any system networking is important ,but you can just walk into a interview know no one and get the job!
Of coz there is growth in Uganda ..but It's too slow..it's like a hole in a cup.. The cup never fills.. There are leakages everywhere.. every society demands proper leadership to thrive but if the guys at the hill corrupt the system, then we have to swim against the current.. And am sure we all know that not many can move against the opposite forces ..bottom line water flows from up towards the bottom but it's pumped from low plains to the top..
Great Oshay. I am looking forward to hearing how well you can speak Luganda. May be one of these days you will be speaking to Rachael in Luganda fluently. Have you been adopted into any one of the Baganda clans yet? I suspect you already have a Kanzu or two in your closet huh. Have you purchased any Buganda Kingdom certificates or not?
As I am sure Rachael will explain, you live among the Baganda at the moment and Luganda being their indigenous language as opposed to English which is imported, they will want to see you getting on with it as fast as possible. We in Uganda are, of course, regarded as the best English-speaking country in Africa, but you should be learning Luganda as the first step in your commitment to living and working in our community. I would begin with the daily courtesies such as the greeting and take it from there. No one expects you to be fluent now, of course, but you will soon be I assure you. It is not that difficult. I should know; I am a Muganda myself currently living and working in the USA.
