@@CelticWarband Hey bro. I have the disk 2 problem. Which I specifically picked the Folder containing everything but it still gives me an error... can you help?
Probably super late and you’ll probably never see this, but this is the best install tutorial for this mod I’ve come across. Thank you for being direct and clear while at the same time not being dry! You are a godsend!
For those asking about the 2nd disk issue, make sure to unzip the platinum 2 file and make sure the file it's self is in your empire folder (the one you created at the start of the video). This worked for me
Thank you, this was a brilliant tutorial, works perfectly! I've played vanilla since release so I'm rather excited to see what Darthmod has to offer. Many thanks!

Thank you SO much for this video, man. Been unable to get it to work for years and thought I’d give it another go. Thanks for making it so clear, step by step.
For those who have problems starting the game, because it just get close after the "Darthmode" picture, try to change the "turns/year" option to 4 instead of 2, it actually worked for me, after that you could change it to 2 again By the way thanks a lot for the tutorial Celtic! it is so well explained!
@@nuevomxg thank you for getting back to me man, I appreciate it. I eventually tried opening up Steam before opening the Darthmod launcher and that seemed to do the trick. Not sure exactly why that is, but solved the problem.
Hey I had the same problem but I seemingly found a fix, bear with me as I am not a computer savvy person. When it asks for disk 2, you should get a window where you can browse for the disk 2 file which should be in the desktop Empire TW file. I believe Darthmod file 1 tells the install program what the 2nd file should be named so it can be found automatically. The problem is that the 2nd file's name does not match what the program was expecting so the program throws a fit in response. All you have to do is rename the second file to what the program is expecting (which should be: DarthMod_Empire_v8.0_Platinum 1.2 ) if you don't see the file 2 in the folder remember to switch the filter criteria in the bottom right pull down menu to "all files". Once the file is renamed, the program accepts it.
@@cinematiccatastrophe8338 You're a star, many thanks, I will give this a try later and see if it indeed works. It keeps asking me to insert disk two and wont allow me to continue past that point, i own the steam version. i tried a couple times, it gets a pathing error? and wont let me select the right spot for the local files
I can help guys because I had the same issue. When it asks you for disk 2, it'll tell you the name of the 'disk' it cannot find. You'll notice on closer inspection that for whatever reason there is a slight difference in the name of that 'disk' and the actual file name of the unzipped part 2 you downloaded. For me it was literally a space difference. Simply change the file name you've downloaded to match the 'disk' name its trying to find. Once you do that, try it again, and it will find the second disk its looking for
