- I went down to to the flood zone with my dog Tyson to check on the new camp the water has gon down and all that was left is the fire reflector and the fire pit it I found all the logs so I can put it back together with a bit of hard work big thanks for watching

I love that you recognize 'your' logs. It's like a high school guy talking with friends 20 years later and remember the play and who did what. It's a guy thing. Anyway when it drys out you'll be rebuilding. Does any municipal dept. keep the river cleared of any of the rubbish? Like the bumper? Tyson was really excited. I know you can count on him to find anything unusual. Thanks for the video. Blessings

Some destruction the water has , at least ur logs didn’t go far , take some man power to get them back to camp site get harness on Tyson to pull em out 😂🇬🇧😂👍🏻 but u love making new camps it’s good for content and ya viewers 👍🏻

Move your camp a bit further down the island John, then when it floods the trees will break up some of the force of the water before it hits the camp. With plenty of wood washed up, you could brace your walls with some stakes.

Remarkable! The River Takes and she gives back. I wouldn't try to save those trees; Mother Nature takes care of her own. If this were human damage, sure repair what you can. This river is much older than all of us put together, so I'd let her do with the living trees what she will. simply because it won't matter what you do, The river will do what the river wants to do.
Yeah true I could put loads of stuff on top of the roots but next time it floods it will just wash away again I just like thinking out loud lol

The power of water is crazy strong. Carried your logs a ways. At least you found them and can rebuild once it all drys out again.

You have such a tangle of branches around the island(s) that it traps some of your bits now and you can recover them!

no I put it all in the bin as I just don’t enjoy fishing I did it for 2 years for 7 trout and just board so it’s not for me

this spot is a flood zone this is the reason I camp there loads of wash up wood and I get to build new camps then they wash away and all the fire wood is good for my cooking Tyson is 5 now he is a good dog

Hi John, when you rebuild, turn the leading walls arrow head style towards the flowing water, would help to deflect the rsh of water, when they are across the flow its like a dam, the water forces the logs aside, might save a lot of graft
good call will do that along with putting post in to brake up the force of the water

Looks like enough water and mud for a weekend camp. Tie ropes to your logs, toss in water and tow them back, Love it
