Anyone who builds a drone that doesn't have the current protocols and connections hardwired in. If the drone isn't told it has to ask permission, it's not going to ask permission.

Thank you. Only dji has the nanny system.. so many fpv and other brands don’t need gps to fly. They just fly… The information going around is really bad, from state police, faa and other so called pilots really don’t know the hobby side of drones. These are the real hobbyist who enjoy flying and building. Drones wouldn’t be a thing today without hobbyists ..

I was working on a building in Boston last year about 20 story’s up and a drone the size of a very large van all flat black and no noise hovering about 200 yards to the right and slightly above us
It just stood there for 15 seconds moved about 50 yards slowly and it was gone

The most shocking statement, that the anchor apparently did not kick up on, is that Mr. B' fully charged drone "lost power" and "spun out" while the drone it was pursuing did not. There are many such reports of drones losing power while approaching these mysterious objects. Can someone explain to me what kind of technology can drain a lithium battery from a distance. I'm sure Ukraine and Russia would be very interested in such a trick.

The reason the air space was restricted when he tried to fly was because the government either already knew the drones were there and restricted it, or the government is actually flying the drones and restricted the airspace ahead of time. Flightaware should show the restrictions if it is an FAA restriction.

First and foremost if you’re a drone pilot, I am a hobbyist drone pilot, you know that you will not be able to take off near an airport unless you have LAANC approval and a Mavic Mini, that you keep showing, will not capture anything in the dark since the camera aperture is so small and is horrible in the dark. Just an FYI.

In 2011 I saw a craft hovering apx 107 meters from me twice the size of an astro minivan. It made no sound and hovering there about 60 feet off the ground. Before I noticed it I saw innthe distance a flashing white light that traveled very very low then disappeared and near where it disappeared about 10 seconds later a solid red stationary light appeared. That moved very slowly to the west just a little bit and then disappeared. Maybe 3 minutes later I have this thing Shaped like a very rounded eyebal that had a plasma like glow around it. You wouldn't believe me if ai told you. Thanks for reading.

lol dude got spooked when DJI asked for his phone number. I have to input that all the time when flying in restricted airspace. It just texts you a confirmation number.
This guy is a crackpot. If you ever want to make money, just wait till some event is big in the news. Setup a quick linked in saying you are expert in X and then call around to local stations. They will put you on with 0 vetting, then CNN will be calling the following week. All will pay nice. Now with work from home you literally only need is a shirt and tie, not even pants.

@@jackiten2751 I fly drones almost everyday for work and many times I need to provide extra information to unlock the drone. Takes a few seconds. I’m not sure if he would be able to get LAANC approval at night without prior notification but I wouldn’t just moved further from the airport and found another drone.
If there is any mass civil disobedience, I have a feeling we will all come to know exactly what the drones are.

This guy's a joke. You can get authorization to fly in restricted airspace if you have your Part 107 and plan in advance, if he is a professional commercial operator would he would have known that and would have known the airspace requirements before even trying to launch.
He would also know he could use a drone scanner app to attempt to identify a drone, granted that tech (RID) is very limited and not always reliable.
Also, not every flight will show on Flight Radar if it is outside of an area that requires ADS-B transponder to be on.
Not all aircraft transmit ADS-B all the time, and there are some areas that do have the ability to detect ADS-B that are publicly viewable.
There has been a lot of recent news about numerous drone sightings in various states, especially in the northeastern United States. This just happens to coincide with the same timeframe in which Congress is voting on the "Countering CCP Drones Act." This legislation aims to restrict the use of drones manufactured by DJI, a leading Chinese company. The bill proposes adding DJI to the FCC's Covered List, which would prevent new models of DJI drones from operating on U.S. communications networks. The legislation is part of a broader initiative to mitigate potential security risks associated with Chinese technology companies operating in the United States. It reflects concerns over data privacy, national security, and the influence of Chinese state-backed firms. The bill has passed the House and is moving to the Senate, where it may become part of the 2025 National Defense Authorization Act.
There is no doubt that Chinese drone technology is superior to that of any other country, including the United States. No third-party audits have suggested that DJI is a threat to national security. In fact, you can fly DJI drones without any internet connection, making it virtually impossible for sensitive data to be transmitted back to a Chinese entity. The government is definitely behind this drone phenomenon in an attempt to stir the pot and create mass hysteria in the news. This is why government officials say that this is not a national threat and are taking no action. They are simply preparing people's and lawmakers' minds to facilitate the passage of more restrictive regulations on drones. Several key figures in Congress are behind this initiative to stifle the import of Chinese drone technology (DJI) as a ploy to capitalize on U.S. companies that would need to pick up the slack for the demand for such innovative drone technology.

yesterday Michael B says he sent his drone up and when it got near the drone it lost all power and dropped down to the ground. now we come to learn of this restricted air space and if you fly your drone into it it just drops out of sky. Yesterday he made it seem like the enemy drone caused the fall of his drone and today its restricted air space?

On November 14 I saw one of these in Holtville California flying low near the Mexico border. The next morning i and others saw it again. I texted my mother that day and told her what we saw. I still have the text date stamped. It’s literally a huge drone as big as a car or more. There is always a lot of military activity in this area so that’s my guess.
I hope someone flying their drone doesn't accidentally strike the unknown drone because they will both fall to the ground and someone might pick them up and figure out what the unknown drone really is and what its purpose is,
At least 2 types of craft being seen over and over. One type is probably ours and the other type is still a mystery…but the way they fly and evade planes and helicopters…wow.

I saw a drone over my house last night and it was unmistakably not an airplane. If was very low not more than one story above me house. I could hear the engine quite well.

@ yes the sound was like a engine type sound, I didn’t see a engine it just what come to mind. I live in a 2 story home. I have a Pine that is roughly the height of my home. This thing was not more than 20 feet above the tree. I think I heard someone say in a video that they may be pouching energy from solar. Interestingly, this one was coming from the direction where there is a Solar Field less than a half of a mile away. Just speculating now.

Can’t you find someone credible who knows what they’re talking about? He’s using a DJI which is a consumer grade drone ready to go out of the box. The app has protection in it to prevent the pilot from getting in trouble by flying in restricted airspace or a TFR, for example. Anyone who’s built a drone knows that this is seldom the case. Commercial drone pilots are required to have a VFR certificate and can get clearance to fly in some controlled airspace. Some drones are even required to have transponders that are, I believe, ADS-B Out capable.
Anyway, get someone more knowledgeable on next time.

Not all drones have geofencing. If he was an experienced drone pilot he would know his DJI drone does and wouldn’t have even tried to fly next to an airport. It’s people like him that are causing drone sightings. Mass hysteria! The more people are looking for drones the more they will look with their own drones then more and more sightings.

You have a commercial drone that has built in restrictions. Your drone is flowin off the gps and satellites. You can have drones that doesn’t use satellite gps. So they can fly over air ports or restricted areas. He has a DJI drone. Those are made for the public.

It's a geofence. You'd need a GPS spoofer or simply a drone that doesn't support geofences (all DJU drones do, unfortunately)

If your drone expert is surprised that commercial drones are Geo fenced far away from airports then he’s not an expert. That’s normal. People who design their own systems can avoid or reprogram the blocks the that match the regulations.
