- Bible Film 3D Jerusalem Animation - Detailed Reconstructions for ZDF Production INRI, a Retelling of the Passion of Jesus Christ
The holy city and ancient metropolis of Jerusalem at the turn of the era.
In this trailer, we showcase the 3D animations and CGI visualizations of ancient Jerusalem during the time of Jesus that we created for the biblical TV documentary about the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.
The virtual recreations are based in every detail on the latest archaeological excavation findings and scientific knowledge.
A central element is the elaborate 3D reconstruction of the Temple Mount with the Second Temple in Jerusalem, renovated by Herod the Great, one of the holiest sites in Judaism and the setting for important events of the Passion of Jesus. Further highly detailed 3D models show the Antonia Fortress as headquarters of the Roman occupying forces as well as the magnificent palace of Herod.

I have found amazing peace in believing that Jesus’ death on the cross paid for all of my sins. I pray you will also find the peace that only God can give us through his son, Jesus Christ! I had to humble myself and know I don’t have the righteousness to enter heaven and neither does anyone else! I enter God’s kingdom entirely on the merits of Christ.

I am actually working on my own Jerusalem project and I am trying to accurately recreate this city in its 1st century by looking at archeological and historical facts.
I don't know how many of you guys have worked there to make this but I am on my own and I can say it's a lot of hard work.

Josephus described Jerusalem as being "hugged" by beautiful forests, vineyards, and gardens.
I'd also argue that the New City would have existed at the time of Jesus, just would not have been walled in yet.

@@Beyonder1987 Lebanon had cedar forests that were famed throughout the Near East. Israel today has forests, not as many as it had in antiquity, but there are still some. The Middle East isn't just Arabian desert, nor did it always have the arid climate it has today (climate change is a real and natural thing that happens over centuries or millennia). It still snows in Jerusalem sometimes.

@Beyonder1987 except Judaea did have forests, vineyards, and olive groves in antiquity. Several forests are mentioned in the wider area from the Iron Age through to the Crusader period. And unlike Josephus and other sources, you weren't there. How do you think the Romans constructed battering rams and siege towers for the siege of Jerusalem in 70AD? They chopped down timber. Same with every other battle for Jerusalem - most siege equipment was simply too heavy to accompany an army, so the wooden components would be constructed in the siege camp.
Saying a place didn't have forests 2000 years ago because it doesn't today is simply a bad argument. Where I live was entirely forest 200 years ago and you wouldn't know it today, it's all farmland.

It´s at least partially accurate, especially the temple area and the Antonia fortress next to it. I don´t know about all the details.
It is a joint project with local archaeologists in Jerusalem. The reconstruction corresponds to the current state of scientific knowledge

The region did not become the Holy Land of Palestine until after the Roman empire became Christian in the late 4th Century AD. For a brief time under the Crusaders, the region was divided amongst various kingdoms, counties, etc.

The region was only, therefore, briefly ever called the Holy Land of Palestine.

1. Beautify the Mount of Olives and Kidron Valley by getting rid of the illegal construction and planting forests & gardens in their place.
2. Redesign Jerusalem's general architectural and planning policies.
3. Take inspiration from Ancient Jerusalem when they build new developments and densify existing neighbourhoods.
4. Complete reforestation everywhere, since some mountains are still barren.
5. Recreate the natural experience of pilgrims walking from the Temple Mount to the Judaean Desert and the Dead Sea by, once again, resettling people that built illegal slums in these internationally-significant landscapes.
