Comparison flights! - 70mm F/16 - Stock 1850kv vs Xfly 2200kv

A video of the comparison of the stock FMS 1850kv 70mm vs the Xfly 2200kv 70mm in my FMS F16c 70mm EDF Jet. There is a noticeable increase in speed and thrust. I would say that it is on par with the FMS 1900kv setup. Cheers, Merlin RC.

the Xfly sounds much cleaner! Clearly much faster too and more thrust too! With the ones I have I am noticing that the part throttle performance is so much better than before. The planes actually move pretty quickly when at half throttle and even less!! My Eflite 80mm Hornet is a completely different flying plane now that the xfly is in place!! Video to come soon...

I can't wait to see that Ray! I agree about the half throttle too. This thing is moving quicker at half throttle with little impact on flight times. It's a win win.

Nice video, one thing I have to say is that the 1850kv can handle 8s but at 6s level the higher kv will def win. Thanks for sharing

Xfly is just a FMS fan with a higher kv motor, The guy that made xfly used to work for FMS. Just a rebranded FMS fan unit

Looks just like a FMS predator or Eflite unit so I’d assume the quality would be equal, just way hotter!!
