    Just a boat suggestion to keep it clean and unharmed. Please a cut piece of plywood and place in the area you work in to save punching a hole in bottom of boat with your catches. Then on top of that place a small tarp in that area with draping over side of boat where you pull in. That will prevent lots of dirty mud coming in with the catches. Love your videos. Can't wait for a trip with Owen. He is so adorable. Also you probably already know there is a plug at back of boat down low. That would make it easy for a good pressure wash and drain. Happy Easter to you and Owen.

    Having that boat is a major game changer. You can cover so much area now. Loving the treasures you're finding now. Best find on this video I think is the well preserved beer can. 😃

    • @aliasfred
      @aliasfred Рік тому

      When pulling old beer cans out of the mud or clay, you must put that can in a bucket of water till you get home, then clean it and put some preservative in and on it. The reason it's in good shape is the mud kept it oxygen free, if not put in water right away, it will turn to rust before you get home.

    @15:40, I don’t know if anyone commented yet but that was a cap to an old fire hydrant. The thing on the big nipple end is where a small chain attaches and lets it hang off the hydrant so it doesn’t get lost during a fire. It look like it is one of the two ears.

    @16:30, that is a condenser for for a car distributor. We use to take the old ones and charge it and then put it on the parts counter. When the mechanics would come up to the counter they would be nosey enough to pick it up and when the touched the condenser and wire together it would shock the H E L L outta them and they would sling it across the room. 🤣😂🤣

    Edit 1: (im sure there will be more haha ) I was thinking, you should have gotten a gallon of the bed liner paint and smothered the inside of that boat lol For the Heavy metal magnet fishing like you are doing the bed liner could one day save you some grief lol 5:31 OHHH WOW crest dental floss in a tin can you should definitely add that to the restored channel, not with a hell of a lot but definitely worth holding on too. 17:07 LMAO literally! hahaha and yeah definitely is the underframe of an old bike seat, that or either a Condom drying rack hahaha

    Tyler, you should check if your trolling motor has a built-in maximizer in it, that would recharge your battery while it is operating. The same goes for your big motor, if it has a generator it would recharge your electrical system and you can use the connected plugin's. No need for hookups of a portable unit. As stated before, gas fumes will lay at the bottom, in the bilge or on the floor of your boat

    I worked in a warehouse where we packed car tuneup parts in various stores packaging. I worked on a small machine where we twisted the condenser with the wire and pushed it into the box, at a rate of 55 per minute. In the 1970s, i made $1.20 per hour. Shortly after I became a computer programmer when computers didn't even have built in permanent memory. 80 column cards, then 96 column cards.
