The Luddite Trail Part 1 | Hartshead

The Spen Valley Luddite Trail Part 1 as from the Kirklees Council. This first part of the walk includes the famous meeting point the Dumb Steeple as well as a famous resting place of some Luddites at Hartshead Chapel. But possibly the most iconic stop is the Star Inn, site of the place John Booth and Samuel Hartley spent their last hours.

I've seen Sparrow Park today with the Luddite statue and consequently came across your film which I've really enjoyed. It was full of interest and I particuarly enjoyed the segment on Hartshead Church. Do you have any plans to walk & film the 2nd section of the Spen Valley's Luddite Trail? Anyway I've subscribed as I cans ee you have quite a number of other films I'm going to get around to watching too.

I actually have another 2 planned on the Luddites. Unfortunately I live outside the country and only get a chance to film this stuff back home in the summers (as I teach).
