- A short cinematic two-part travel vlog that documents the overnight hike to Laguna 69 in Huaraz, the hiking capital of Peru.
The video begins with a series of drone shots over the basecamp area of Nevado Pisco and Refugio Perú, a remote cabin that sits at an altitude of 4765m. Then the film continues to document day 1 of the hike ascending the steep mountain to reach my camping spot at high altitude.
While the majority of visitors to Laguna 69 use the official trail which can be completed as a day-trip from Huaraz, there exists an alternative and challenging route that rewards adventurous hikers with spectacular views of the giant snow-capped mountains of Huascaran National Park.
Instead of staying at Refugio Peru, I opt to camp out in the wilderness, immersing myself in the magnificent landscapes of the Cordillera Blanca.

Beautiful footage Ayman, and I love the chill music. It is hard to get good footage solo. We are so excited to see Peru for the first time next month.
