@@restart6358 honestly tho, with the amount of reactions to these demo trailers i've already watched (and that's a lot), people (mostly men) usually talked only about boobs and butts when it comes to the demo trailers for raiden/eula/shenhe/rosaria/yelan. which became really boring very quickly. so seeing people talk about male characters's body features (alhaitham's abs and arms, kaveh's butt) is kinda refreshing lol
So far Wanderer has the most profound and complicated lore. He used to have a whole bunch of other names, but now he's just Wanderer. Or Hat Guy hahaha

Actually, Kaveh is holding his claymore about 10% of the time. The one who is actually holding it for him during the fight is his toolbox/briefcase (canonically toolbox), Mehrak.

[Warning - Another Long Comment) Facts and Answers to your questions for part 2:
- Yunjin Chinese voice actor is actually a Chinese Opera Singer. There's a very good presentation in a quest, where she sings about Shenhe's life.
- Yae Miko is an Yokai (A Kitsune to be precise) and has a light novel/manga publisher and the book the girl was reading at the start is basically one of those Isekai like "I reeicarnated as a Slime" or something like that.
Also, Gorou is afraid of her. So are we.
- Kamisato Ayato is the brother of Kamisato Ayaka, that's why the name is familiar. He's not that much older than he looks, and you kinda got the right impression of his signature sword, it is supposed to be like a Tsunami. In fact I think that's what its name means.
- Yelan is basically a Psyops working for the Liyue Government. She's kinda the opposite of a Celebrity.
- Yes, Shinobu is with Itto's gang. Althought he's the leader, she's basically the mom of the gang. Her sword is kinda a whip thing but she doesn't use it like that as much as I wanted.
- Heizou is considered a Catalyst character for weapon purposes so he's kinda like a mage character, but yeah, he uses it to beat the crap out of people bare handed.
- Collei is after Inazuma, on the region of Sumeru (A mix of Arabic/Egypt/Indian culture. Also, she's a free character. No much good by herself but her element is very strong so she ends up being a good addition early on. On a fun note, she appears on the manga too but the manga touches on a important part of her character that I recommend you experiencing by yourself.
- Tighnari did had a different voice actor. They had to change because people discovered that he was grooming minors, and he did confirmed himself to be doing so later. Anyway, the character is a Forest Ranger and a researcher on what in real life would be Bothanic.
- We have a few more brown characters. Xinyan, Cyno and Dehya. We do need some more.
- I recommend watching the Character Miscelany videos so you can understand who goes well with who
- You got Cyno VA in less than a Line. He's amazing in this game. His eyes gets covered by the mask during the Pact Sworn form (His Burst transformation). He plays Yugi-oh too.
- Nahida is voiced by a grown woman. Her voice actress is just good. And lets say that she is very lonely.
- Layla is Cryo.
- Wanderer can be named however you want (with some limitations of course), currently, people of Sumeru knows him as "Hat Guy". As a fun fact. He's kinda of a god. He's kinda of Raiden "son" too.
- Yao Yao is mostly a Healer. And yes she's from Liyue. She was trained by a very normal totally not suspicious with god-like powers granny.
- Adepti are basically demi-gods of Liyue. They usually take shape of animals. That's why Yao Yao call those birds Uncle and Auntie.
- Alhaitham is kinda popular, pretty strong too. His name is based on a real arabian Mathematician, Astrologist and everything else that a man can become. This same guy created the "Process of Elimination". That's why Alhaitham says it on his burst.
- Mika is from mondstadt, yes. He's also Eula's pet... support, I mean. Her support.
- Nothing much to talk about Kaveh. Just that he's a good boy.
Slight correction, Kuki's whip thing is made of Naku plants for exorcism/purification which is a job that shrine maidens do, and Kuki is related to them.

the funny thing is that nahida's va is also the english voice for nagatoro 🥲
We might get more brown characters during Natlan since the region it’s based off of is primarily poc

loved seeing your reactions in parts 1 and now 2! it's amazing how you managed to get a lot of characters' themes/stories almost exact. a couple things without spoilers:
1.) there definitely was and still is controversy about the diversity of the characters. so far there are only 5 brown characters: kaeya, xinyan, candace, cyno, and dehya. the problem many people have with this is that sumeru(forest/desert area) is based on the middle east/northern africa and some characters like tighnari and alhaitham are based on real people, so people wish for more diversity among the cast.
2.) nahida's voice actor is kimberly anne campbell, who isn't a child but definitely nailed the voice of one! i also liked that you immediately recognized alejandro saab, he's one of my favorite vas and he does an incredible job as cyno
3.) the adepti yaoyao mentions are a kind of celestial/mythical being in liyue, they're immortal and have special powers. xiao is an adeptus, and ganyu and yanfei are both half human half adeptus
4.) part of the reason the demos seem to have different quality is because there are 2 character rarities: 4 stars and 5 stars. the 5 stars are rarer, so they tend to have longer/more cinematic demos

Xinyan, Kaeya, and Candace are the only "darker" characters as of right now in the game. But Xinyan is from the China area and Kaeya is from Mondstadt (though his lineage might be from a different nation, without spoiling anything for you). Technicallyy......Cyno and Dehya could be considered darker/tanned characters but yeah. The lack of darker skin tones has long been a complaint. But Hoyo EN hires a VERY Ethnically diverse cast of VAs. So that's nice. Even some of the "white" and "Asian" characters have POC VAs. And everyone from the new SWANA/MENA inspired region has SWANA/MENA VAs. So that's really cool.
Edit: starting from Collei'd demo, every character is from the newest region: Sumeru. It's the SWANA/MENA inspired region. There's two areas inside this region: a rainforest and desert. And it is ABSOLUTELY the best area. So pretty and HUGE. it's the largest region to date. And no, Nahida was voiced by an adult lol.
Second edit: except YaoYao, Mika, and now Baizhu lmao. My baaaadddd. YaoYao and Baizhu are from Liyue and Mika is from Mondstadt.
I think Xinyan is mixed (blasian) and even tho kaeya lives in mondstadt his ethnicty is not mondstadt technically. He seems to be south asian inspired (desi) considering his name, his constellation and his new outfit from 3.8

Things that are more noticeable the more you know a character: Raiden Shogun and Wanderer had similar editing styles in their demos
Wanderer got that nickname because he basically doesn't have like a identity at all...When u progress in the story you will understand :)

Okay, so now about Cyno! He totally reminds me of like the Egyptian god Anubis. His design is awesome!
Nilou is very flowy, very elegant and poised. Her dances always have a meaning- though it's not always clear.
Nahida is so adorable! (As I mentioned in my other comment)I can't say much about her without spoiling and so a lot of my comments are vague to keep from spoiling important info.
But her music awwww. It feels so happy & joyful! I sometimes hum it absently without realizing it lol.
Layla's design is so pretty and I love how she connects with the stars. The fact the poor girl is always up late with papers.
Wanderer is very complex as his story/stories that he is involved with. I could talk to you all day about him but that would be bad as I love talking about him and might spoil something so again, trying to stay vague lol.
Okay, one thing I love about the 'kid looking' characters is that there is more to many of them than you know. It will be fun to see you discover just how important some of them are.
Alhaithem is quite the character. He has a really cool design and just wait til you meet him in-game!
The one thing I will say is that the majority of these characters are based in Sumeru.
Dehya has a beautiful character design and yes, she's a claymore user but also, she hits hard.
So as far as Mika, I just love this little guy. It's hard to explain but he's one of those adorable characters that can become endearing.
I like Kaveh. He's got quite an interesting personality. His view on things is very unique. I like his character design and fun fact is he & Baizhu are going to be on the upcoming banners either today or tomorrow!
I'm hoping to pull for both.

Yeah there are very litte characters that have even a bit of color on their skin. If i remeber right there are like 5 or 6 of them and i don't even know if you would count over half of them. Cuz they are super light.

About Tighnari’s voice actor, he used to have a voice actor by the name of Elliot Gindi. There was a problem, Elliot Gindi used his fame and groomed or exploited minors. After the secret was out, Hoyoverse fired him and changed Tighnari’s voice actor with the same voice actor as the kid from Whimpy Kids. Also, the character trailer of Tighnari still uses Elliot Gindi’s voice.

Sooo I am super giddy every time someone reacts to this set of characters. I can tell you this group has a lot of great stuff in their stories & adventures!
Also, I LOVE playing Wanderer! He and Kazuha are my top boys! Also, about Wanderer- his story is really really good!
Another thing is I adore Nahida! I don't want to spoil anything but she's just such an amazing character.
Yun Jin has a special place in my heart for reasons you can find out about later on.
I'd like to recommend that later on, you check out the Genshin manga. They've got a lot of backstory and history on a lot of the characters & situations from the past that have come to light in the present. Again, not wanting to spoil anything, but they are good to check out later.
I'm looking forward to pulling for Kaveh and Baizhu! Hopefully, you can get them too if you start playing during this duration of banner characters.
I'd like to recommend for you to watch the version trailers. You will get glimpses of the lands, the vibe, the characters.

also, had to bring this up that hoyo did dehya dirty her kit is the absolute worse. no one could fix her and ig that's the reason why they just threw her aside. I'm mad cause there's much more to dehya especially her character lore. she's a sweet girl :')

i know you find heizou's fighting style cool because he fights barehanded, but i honestly found it hilarious in a good way. i expected someone with his element and weapon type to have wanderer's fighting style, but instead we get a punchy boi. it's like if gandalf beat people to death with his staff instead of using spells.
I definitely recommend also watching the version trailers and the character teasers! The version trailers do give some interesting glimpses into the story of the game, but are admittedly a bit confusing without context. Still, they’re very flashy and intense. The character teasers do a great job of explaining some of the lore and give further insight into who the characters are. There’s also the collected miscellanies, but those are mostly just gameplay demonstrations that explain each character’s kits. I’d check those out if you have the time, but personally I’d watch the version trailers and character teasers first. Oh, and of course there’s the Teyvat Chapter Travail and Winter Night’s Lazzo videos that give insight into all of the game’s nations and main villain faction.

The adepti sure love children. They took care of Qiqi, Yaoyao and also raised Shenhe and Ganyu 😂Sure they would have adopted Klee, Diona and Nahida if they lived in Liyue, too.
As far as brown characters go, we have Xinyan, Candace, Dehya, Cyno and Kaeya. We haven't see more because brown people are from the isolated nation of Natlan. All we know about it is that it's the nation of fire and they use geothermal energy from volcanoes to run their cities. Their native people have brown skin and red hair. And, for some reason, going outside of Natlan is VERY hard since who knows when.
I suppose we'll see what's happening in Natlan that keeps people from there traveling to other nations in recent times once this nation is available. Something's wrong in there. Maybe related to the disaster of 500 years ago, the Abyss forces and probably the Fatui, who contributed to the isolation of Inazuma for the past 500 years.
We haven't seen a single NPC from Natlan, either. Just some eremites from Sumeru desert that probably had Natlan ancestors. I suppose Xinyan, Candace, Dehya, Cyno and Kaeya have Natlan ancestors, too. In the manga, we can see that Venessa and her clan, Muratan, were actually from Natlan. They escaped because reasons I don't know and they were the founders of Favonius Knights in Mondstadt. Venti ascended Venessa to Celestia, so she's probably a goddess now.

Hi KingdomAce🤗, I liked your reaction to the game trailers of the characters, and I watched the first and second parts. I will leave some interesting facts in this comment. (second part more)
1. The first trailer from Sumeru presents Collei, a trainee of the Forest Watch. She is a friend of Amber from Monshtadt, and at the end of her teaser, baron bunny was shown. According to the idea, she is the first to meet a traveler in the Sumeru region, as well as Amber in Monshtadt at the beginning of the journey. There are also a lot of details of the relationship between them in the game itself, in the description of objects and character design!
2.Tignari is the Collei's mentor, so they intersect in the teaser. The character's voice acting was changed due to an inappropriate incident, and his voice remained only in the teaser. Now a new good actor is voicing. It's a pity that because of this incident, the character's reputation dropped at some point.
3. Sayu is a ninja of an organization that is subordinate to Kamisato Ayato, so we can see her in his teaser in two moments.
4.Kuki Shinobu is the deputy boss of Arataki Itto, she is so cool and strong that she constantly punishes her comrades and Itto himself for all sorts of hooliganism, but also pulls them out of the Inazuma precinct for violations. She is respectable, and makes sure that the gang does not go beyond the law.
4. Dori loves money very much, as does her companion. This is a genie who lives in a magic lamp and helps her in battles. He also treats Dory.
5. Kaveh and Alhaitam are very familiar, but what unites them, you will find out already in the quests, so that there is no spoiler.
6. The funny fact is that Candace is a 4-star and Dehya is a 5-star, they are friends, but Candace's character is more harsh towards the enemies of the desert village. Therefore, Dehya gave a final warning to the hermit in the teaser.

There's plenty of adult characters with summons/extra character/mascots in this game. Fischl with Oz, Xiangling with Guoba, Hu Tao with Boo Tao, Yae Miko (sort of) with her kitsune turrets.
Since I didn’t see anyone mention it to his question to brown skinned characters when Candace came up no we had a few before her , kaeya, xinyan, and cyno & Dehya (who was shown before Candace even tho their demo is after hers) as far as I know they’re the only ones as of right now

Genshin Monstadh (which mean moon city) region is inspired from Germany (not present day Germany), liyue (meaning moon) from China, Inazuma (which basically mean lighting) japan inspired region, sumeru (meaning mountain "parvata") from India-egypt-persia also biggest region can be measured as 3 region combined, Fontaine from France, Natlan from native Americans and snezhnaya (meaning snow) from Russia.

It might be more accurate to say all the playable characters have been given or have sought out combat training. While it's possible to have the particular combination of focused ambition, grounding, and personality traits which lead to getting a Vision and not be inclined to learn self-defense... it's very rare and those NPCs stay pretty far in the background. Ironically, even in-setting a lot of people put the cart before the horse and make the same assumption that having a Vision automatically leads to personal power.

-Yae Miko is a chief editor of her own publishing company.
-Heizou uses a catalyst (a spellbook)
-Yelan isn't a celebrity. She does some "shady" work for the government. Overall, she's a great character and hecking meta in battle.
- The area in Collei's demo is the rainforest area of Sumeru, while Candace's demo is in the desert area of Sumeru.
- Yeah, Tighnari's original VA done effed up. He was immediately fired a week after the issue came out, and all the voicelines have already been redone.
- I like how you reacted to Nahida. Most people think sexualized child characters immediately after seeing them. But most of us really just see tham as our daughters that need to be protected, like you said lol
- Adepti are basically earthly spirits/deities. They either take human or animal form, depending on their preference.

Btw, you should definitely play. The story just keeps getting better! Be careful with the gatch pitfall, though. You can easily get addicted to spending real money. I'm f2p and still managed to get the characters I wanted just by grinding.

I think the main reason for the low amount of variety is mostly because there are no real region base on place with darker skin tone people yet beside Sumeru and even then only half of Sumeru are dark skin being the desert side and sadly in main story only 3 desert character are relevant as the main story surround the forest part of it
We most likely won't get more until there are more relevant character from the desert side or until Natlan come, Natlan being a combat nation that have the Pyro Archon and darker skin tone seem be be one of the trait of that nation people
The final reason i feel is more because it being a game from China and they are strict on thing there, since with their other game they risk thing a bit more being Honkai Impact where they were fined for having more sexy character and some heavily implied girl to girl relationship

the first nations are based on europe, china and japan it makes no sense that they have black/tan characters while sumeru is based on india and egypt so some characters from there are black/tan but you completely forgot that from the beginning the game has Kaeya and Xinyan
but the thing is that Kaeya wasn't born in Mondstadt and Xinyan's whole thing is that she's different from others so they're an exception

There are some characters that are related, siblings include of course the main characters Lumine and Aether, Jean and Barbara, Albedo and Klee, Ayaka and Ayato, you have Shenhe and her nephew Chongyun, and Wanderer and his mother, Raiden Shogun. If you want to get more of a background story of the characters, I suggest watching their character trailers. I would also recommend watching stuff from the other Hoyoverse games, Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai Star Rail, both have really great videos

Yeahhhh after this video, I talked about it with my friend SHSL Blaze, and they filled me in on the whole deal. I do like the work they did for the character, but that doesn't excuse the monstrous acts they committed. They were fired rightfully so, and I hope he gets the effects of the full extent of the law.

You should check out max0rs review for genshin impact
Two things that you can expect from Genshin. 1. There will always be more female playable characters compared to male characters. For example Cyno is the very first Male Electro character released a few months ago besides Razor who was already availible in the base game. In between those periods we've had 5 Electro releases that were all female and 4 that were already in the game. Currently as it stands there are 2 Male Electro characters compared to 9 Female Electro characters.
2. You'll probably never see any black playable characters. I don't know why but for some reason Hoyoverse has something against designing brown/black characters. Some characters have a tan others are somewhat brown like Candance but there has never been a black playable character or NPC as far as I can remember. This is especially strange since the release of Sumeru in version 3.0 because that region is partially based on South Asian cultures. So technically people of color should be seen everywhere you go.
Xinyan, Kaeya, Candace, Dehya and Cyno are the only darker-skinned characters on game
