i'm surprised you didn't include 2021 as the sixers' most disappointing year. they were the 1 seed, they'd been contending for years now, just to lose to the 5th seeded hawks, choking multiple 20+ pt leads and losing game 7 at home. that series alone ruined ben simmons and the team has never been the same since

As a hornets fan, I would say 2022 was the most disappointing.
We had lost in the play-in 2 years in a row, and we had a good core of lamelo, bridges, pj Washington, Gordon Hayward, and terry rozier,, but then lamelo got hurt, bridges got suspended, and Gordon got old, and we ended up being so bad we ended up with the #2 pick

As a Spurs fan, 2013 sucked, but my pain was assuaged just a year later. The pain of 2017, however, lasted until we got Wemby. Lol.
2017 for the same reason 2018 for the rockets as they were so close and with a healthy kawhi would have had a more competitive series as they were up by 25 when he got hurt.

this year for kings. Actually had hope and had losses to pistons, hornets, wizards, and blazers. Blew 20 pt leads vs thunder, knicks, bulls, suns. Got dame timed after malik monk (previous year was 89% ft) bricked two fts and fox went 1/2. Lost to pacers without hali or siakam, went 0-9 vs rockets and pelicans.
4th seed if they beat the bottom dwellers and dont blow 20 pt leads lmaooo

For the Lakers, its 2022 NOT 2013, they didnt even make the playoffs, and they had top 75 players.

i think this list is a little misleading, disappointing implies that it was a bad situation or that they underperformed, for me it doesnt make sense (besides the 2016 warriors) saying that the 2013 spurs the 2016 thunder the 2018 houston or the 2021 nets or the 2019 76ers were disappointing, they lost a competitive series how is that disappointing? more of a let down

@@suvirshetty I feel like "let down" in the context of some of the teams in this video implies more unfortunate situations, than a "disappointment" from a favorite that was supposed to win. for example, the nets were never supposed to even be close in that bucks series without kyrie and harden, but somehow kd single-handedly almost beat them. them losing was more of a sad situation, like a "what could've been if the underdog won." whereas the celtics in 2023 was more of an actual let down/disappointment. as a heavy favorite they shit the bed, and in the context of disappointment, the heat were the underdogs in that situation that caused the disappointment. jesus im so faded im just rambling lol
The title isn't misleading at all. These are definitely the most disappointing seasons. Each and every one of these examples is where the hopes of each team was at its highest since 2010. These teams having the highest of hopes in these moments and NOT prevailing is followed by the highest feelings of disappointment. It isn't that hard to comprehend. If you were expecting a list where he outlined each teams worst season the title would've said just that: NBA teams worst seasons since 2010. It'd just be a list of each teams season where they recorded the most losses
Rockets were so close to making one of the biggest upsets ever which would have been crazy if they pulled it off!!!
So as a raptors fan, even though 2018 was rouggggggh, 2020 was almost worst. We spent all year hearing that we were nothing without Kawhi, were the most disrespected defending champs, only to have more wins without Kawhi , roll through rd 1, have a miracle buzzer beater, force game 7, and then lose in the last minutes to a team that wouldn't even win the next rd. Rough stuff man. Also 2021 was miserable too. 0 home games all year long because we had to play in tampa bay. Waste of a season that gave us a handicap that literally NO ONE else had to face :(
As a pistons fan, the 2017-18 season was the hardest to watch. We had the #2 spot in the east through the first 20 games and beat Boston and the KD warriors away for both games. Everything spiraled out of control mid season until the Blake Griffin trade. 5 straight wins before plunging back into torture. They had a slim playoff chance but it all went out the window against the sixers with 3 games left. Pistons were down like 20 and I remember Stanley Johnson's 3pt brick that was about to cut it to 4 and I knew the whole season was over. Sixers were also without Embiid
As a blazers fan, it was 2018 hands down. That team was a mess defensively and CJ was a playoff failure year after year.

Blazers fan here. 2018 by far was worse to lose in the first round. 2019 Nurk got hurt before the playoffs and knew it was going to be tough. Still blowing leads in all the games against GS was horrible.
As a Mavs fan, easily the most disappointing seasons were 06 and 07. 06 we finally made it to the Finals only to choke on Dwane Wade's ridiculous speed bursts with some sprinkle dust from the refs. 07 easily the most disappointing season as best record in Mavs history only to be knocked out by the 8th seed Warriors. The seasons following 11 championship, while disappointing, still wasn't as bad as 06 and 07. We were just no longer a good team with Dirk aging and Mark trading away key players from 11 team.

That’s for sure the most disappointing as they should have beat them especially as it was champs or bust but at the same time 2023 was a more disappointing ending, they were a Kd smaller shoe size from going to the Ecf.
I’d say 2016 Spurs were more disappointing than 2013. Just below the 73-9 warriors as one of the best in the league just to blow a 2-0 lead in the 2nd round

As a Kings fan I gotta go with this season. We finally broke the playoff drought last season and then completely missed the playoffs this season which included some embarrassing losses to terrible teams. This season was so frustrating cause we would beat elite teams then lose to teams like the Wizards 😭😭

I feel like 2011 was more dissapointing to Spurs, after losing in the first round as a 1st seed in 6 games. At that time, it felt like it was over for them, they havent done much in the last 3 seasons up to that point, and Thunder started to establish themselves as the team that will dominate the western conference for years to come.
I disagree with the 2015 hawks being disappointing, I think they just overachieved, I don’t remember them ever being favorites to win it even tho they had 60 wins

As a Grizz fan, 2015-16 was the most disappointing season. The previous year they lost in 6 to the Warriors in the semis (Mike Conley broke his face in this series and that majorly impacted the outcome). Heading into 15-16 they were expected to finish even better but ended up as a 7 seed and were swept by the Spurs.
2011 Heat isn’t disappointing because that was a lot of new players getting to know.
2010 could have been Boston Celtic's most disappointing season. Lost the Finals in game 7. Up 3 games to 2 leading up to game 6, lost the next 2 to the arch rivals in the Lakers. Therefore losing what could have been banner 18

As a blazers fan, 2019 was our most disappointing season. We had lots of momentum just for it to get dashed by the warriors. I actually thought we had a chance too because they didn’t have KD.
There was no way that Steph Curry was gonna let that team beat him. He owns that team I never thought the Blazers had a single chance in that series losing to the pelicans is much worse than losing to one of the greatest dynasties ever, especially if the pelicans swept them the year prior.

As a Pistons fan ever since 2008 pretty much every season has been nothing but abysmal. The only season where we actually played good basketball and looked like a solid team was 2015-16 but got swept by the eventual champions the Cavs in 4 tight games. Other than that its been utter shit.

Hear me out. As a Knicks fan, the 2019 season was fine. We knew the risk of bottoming out. Our actual worst season is the 2017-18 season. The seasons of purgatory where you're not bottoming out but in that 6-10 spot in the lottery. Those are the worst years. As a fan, you lie to yourself thinking that the 8th pick can totally change the direction of the franchise. With RJ getting drafted, we were at least hyped.

As a cavs fan I would say 2023 was kind of disappointing or 2022 when they lost both play in games
2018 was definitely more disappointing as a blazers fan. 2019 was actually a very good year no one expected us to make it to the wcf. we could’ve also made it to the finals if nurkic didn’t snap his leg considering he was actually a pretty good center before that. but imo 2023 was are most disappointing season. even if no one expected us to win anything, we had the pieces to make a contending roster. trade deadline and we end up trading josh hart for a singe moldy potato chip. really hurts because that was dames best season in his career imo and it was just wasted. the blazers actually lead the league in blown double digit leads that season by far, so for me it was the most disappointing. if we had just made a move for og or pascal that deadline and had a better coach we definitely could’ve made some noise and from there add more pieces in the off season. that’s why you’ll see a lot of blazers fan hate on billups. he didn’t utilize josh hart and jermi grant, mainly, correctly. we really should’ve been a top 5 seed that year and if we made a move we could’ve really contended.

Missed out specifically mentioning 2014-2015 mavs. After they acquired Rondo, they had starting lineup of him, monta Ellis, chandler parsons, Dirk and Tyson chandler. Hopes were sky high then rondo was a complete bust and they lost in 5 in first round
