i believe this big budget 1960 M-G-M cinemascope version of the mark twain classic is the most lavish and one of the finest filmizations of huckleberry finn ever!

The only issue I have with it is Huck is thirteen in the book and this kid does not look 13

shortly before the end of the story, the two protagonists learn from a lady who lived along the Mississippi that they had already crossed the Missouri border with their boat, without even realizing it, and therefore the slave Jim was now safe. he could no longer be arrested and brought back to Tom Saywer's house where their masters had arranged to see him
