wow such a stable embouchure it looks like he isn't even playing! crazy how he barely has to breathe too
That's because I don't think he is. It sounds like it's pre-recorded audio mixed with a video of him air playing through the music. This is based upon the fact that in his previous videos of him playing, when he actually does play, he does have some movement and you can see his embouchure change tensions as he moves through the register of the trumpet. This of course is not to discredit his playing, which is phenomenal by the way, but merely an observation.
What's up with the interpretation of the eighth-sixteenth-sixteenth-eight rhythm? Is elongating the first eighth note and squishing the next three notes a stylistic decision?
Fr it’s kinda funky ngl.
I don't like it, and it looks like your rushing the 16ths really hard
It's his interpretation of the piece. Trumpet players aren't stamped out of cookie sheets.
It’s a little stylized. I liked it better than playing everything super academically. If you don’t like it, don’t do it.
@@kylesherman2793Thank you!
why no euphonium etudes? 🧐
I would love a euph player on houghton horns
great playing, skit at the end didn't make much sense...
He’s not even playing…
