- THE stunned mum of a music fan who plunged from the top tier of Ibrox during a Harry Styles concert has told how doctors can’t believe her son survived the horror fall.
Dylan Wood, 20, plummeted from the Club Deck into a stand below at the former One Direction star’s gig on Saturday night and was rushed to hospital and put on life support.
His mum Marion Hawkins, 39, was in bed when her phone started ringing and she received the call every parent dreads.
She says: “He’s in high dependency because of his head and they have to keep an eye on him.
“I’m still in that shocked phase where it seems like I’m talking about someone else’s son.
“I can’t believe he’s walked away with a few bumps and cuts.

I read Slash’s book and he said people in South America would do this all the time. He said someone ran and dived off the top stand with his arms like a birds wings.
Considering they like this kind of music I doubt there was any brain to be damaged

this was what i was scared of when i went to a stray kids concert, there was like a half foot tall glass wall blocking people from falling, and the seats were so steep. luckily no one stood up during the concert so we were all fine, im so glad this guy is ok!! im surprised that it wasn't worse, good thing it wasnt.

The club deck where he fell from is incredibly high up and really steep too. My daughter and I were supposed to be sitting up there for Harry Styles but I ended up selling the tickets, I didn't want to be up there. And hello fellow Stay!!
To be fair, a concert for stray kids probably wouldn't have the same level of security as a celebrities concert.

@@rwisswell 20 in a place like this makes it highly unlikely. A lot of these large concert spaces have dangerous slants the higher you go, which can easily lead to someone falling.

So this fan miraculously is alive with no broken bones. He has a concussion & black eyes- & has to take a lot of rest right now for recovery.

According to a quote from the mother in the description he walked away with a few bumps and cuts. Must’ve landed on something at just the right angle. Although he was on high dependency so a bit of luck was sprinkled in there too.
@@LegosR4Adlts I had heard he landed infront of some nurses who were able to help him straight away. The fact there was no security around and someone had to run downstairs to get someone was ridiculous! Man was incredibly lucky!

Safety seems to have gone out of the window at a lot of these venues, I’ve been at the 02 arena in various seating positions but have witnessed drunk people stumble forwards in the high up seating and in a domino effect knock over all the people below them. They’re just too steep and with hardly any railing/ catch points to stop someone falling onto others

Yeah, i went to the Macy's festival in Cincinnati. That stadium didn't feel safe where we were sitting. It felt like i could fall. I just had that sense everytime i get up to stand up or side step. I hate that feeling tho. They should put up bars or some kind of railing

If some concerts I go to are any steeper I'm afraid that could be me. There's very little space between each row and you have to grab somebody's hand to pass by them to get to your seat and you're frozen trying not to lose balance by trying to dance. I'm clumsy, not skinny, and don't have great knees and feet.
