Thanks for making this video and bringing this issue up to light. I definitely won't be playing anymore WPT events from now on.

Just found your channel and really appreciate your content. Very professionally done poker room reviews and other poker content. I’m shocked you don’t have more subscribers. You earned one from me!

You're gonna get yourselves labelled "woke" for this one, but then again, the same people who think that also think the US Government is "woke" 😂
Thanks for highlighting this important struggle for fair and democratic business practice. It really does benefit EVERYONE if we can all live and work in relative freedom. Or at least make enough to feed the kids and pay rent.

Thank you for watching! Irony is that I'm not reflexively pro-union. I just believe in freedom of association and equal treatment under the law.

Not sure how I feel about this one. There's nothing wrong with opposing unions or wanting to fire employees/keeping wages low, hard to blame a business like Naga world for that.
The Cambodian government on the other hand is clearly corrupt and full of humans rights abuses, not to mention the fact that literally thousands if not tens of thousands of people are being kidnapped and extorted in closed down casino complexes all over Cambodia by Chinese mafia.

@@Buceesfanmaarten Thanks, yes can understand that view - Nagaworld is a business after all (even if I think there's a reasonable limit on tactics). The main issue as I see it is the Cambodian government locking up innocent people, and WPT seeking to profit from it despite the efforts of their own government.

@@pokerroomreviews Agreed. Thanks for covering the topic, wasn’t aware of this and haven’t seen anyone in poker address it, hopefully it gets some traction.

This information is very one sided. The dispute at Nagaworld is far more complex and the actual "why" it happened should be addressed ! I live in Phnom Penh and have no business or affiliation with Nagaworld. But I do know many of their local staff socially and have also had staff from Nagaworld join my company. Nagaworld offer a good package compared to most in Phnom Penh and most of the employees there are happy. Cambodia is a country still recovering from genocide , yet the people are happy and friendly. It's very safe and needs more international events to raise the positives.

Thank you for watching and commenting, but I feel you've missed the point of the video. We're completely neutral on the industrial dispute and whether Nagaworld employees are properly remunerated. The issue is that the Cambodian government are throwing peaceful demonstrators in jail unjustly. Meanwhile, the WPT humiliates its own government in the US which is trying to promote human rights.

@@pokerroomreviews Hi and no your still wrong on this issue. During the pandemic , Nagaworld was closed for a very long time. They kept on paying staff and over time had to reduce what was paid to them. There was a split on this between staff and many quit , leaving themselves with no income. They then protested outside Nagaworld , blocking entrances and roads for a long time. And intimidating customers also. The story is far to much to write. But the point is Cambodia is a country still recovering from the most awful genocide . The international world only help when they have something to gain and the Cambodian people have had the most difficult time. The point is that videos like this create bad press and stop people visiting the wonderful country and hust the people, far more than the government. WPT , Pokerstars etc are bringing in players and helping Cambodia to repair its reputation and gain credibility for hosting such events. And these companies should be praised for their efforts. Which in the end help everyone, their businesses , players, and most importantly the Cambodian economy and it's people. If you come to Cambodia for an event and want to make another video , I can show you around and you can understand more.
