love the look of the pipe you are smokeing
Bloody hell fire that's one hek of a pipe
Truly beautiful craftsmanship. Definitely gorgeous pipes.
This is an intriguing list: some I have, yet unsmoked, some I have to find now lol. I love “top blends” lists. Thanks!
"Quite a challenge to make..." You are indeed a man of understatement!
Some fine choices👌👍💨
Great list Chris! Absolutely agree with RDF and 1820 - I've become a Germain's addict, love the Brown Flake too after your good self sent me a sample. Love the Verge Engine Overdrive a lot as well, I took a punt on that and am glad I did, tastes to me like smoking a sharp apple cider, delicious. As for the Deep One pipe, it's magnificent - a work of art!
I agree with many on your list...we must have similar taste. Have a good Xmas holiday.
Very nice group of tobaccos. All are intriguing and I wanted to light up a bowl of each as you were describing them. Beautiful pipes! That green pipe is absolutely fabulous.
Just tried Mississippi River for the first time here in Brazil. I've got an American friend who sent me a tin. Although I do prefer fuller latakia blends, I really don't mind smoother blends, but this is truly one of the most unique pipe tobaccos I've ever tried and I guess it's the toasty notes you've mentioned in your video review that do it for me. Love it.
Great to see four of my faves in the list: RDF, king Charles,1820 and verge engine overdrive 😋
All i can say is you excellent taste....
What a Fantastic List Chris. I have ordered some of that Peter Heinrichs Blend, so look forward to trying it.
Cheers Chris. I can't see how you could fail to love that Heinriks blend. Its just wonderful.
Just saw this video, that's a beautiful pipe!! I do like the blends you chose . Had not heard of the Verge Engine Overdrive But I do Love the Dark Strong Blend. Thanks for sharing...... Jose
Killer pipes and very good tobacco list for 2020! Great reviews on each blend…..
Jeez Louise! That Deep One Pipe!!! What a beast!
Not for the faint of heart or weak of jaw...
Really want to get Germaine rich dark flake. Never had. Def a must try this coming year. For me: margate, sobranie, squadron leader, Escudo, st James flake, northwoods, old dark fired, best brown #2, Mississippi River special reserve. I love this one. It doesn’t quite fit English. It’s great when you want something different. Funny you said same thing. I go to it a lot. Really taste the Virginia too in it. , full Virginia flake. My tenth maybe. Too many to choose from but top of my head.
Ah, I hovered over Squadron Leader too! Great blend.
Always love a top ten list and this was a good one. Don’t know why but the deep one made me think of Pan's Labyrinth, but what an impressive pipe.
Cheers Paul. Would you believe I have another one of those booked for January? Oh boy.
@@eldritch_pipes No pressure then, hope you made a template👍🏼
Shows u how behind I am w vids Chris! Great list of blends here. Tilbury (Burley Va) also on my list of fav blends from 2020! Guess I need to finally open that bag of Verge Engine OD but I've been enjoying Dr Silence and Goblin. Hope ur 2021 has been going well. Best wishes!! PS that deep one is just ridiculous. Seriously, a work of art. I see stuff like this and just think I shud stick to smoking pipes. Lol.
Impressive pipe. Dagon approves
Then we should be safe for another year....
Beautiful pipe as always Chris. I hope you have an awesome week. Those are some interesting blends you've chosen. I really need to try rich dark flake and Mississippi River. Too many people like them for them not to be good. Too bad germain's is tough to get over here.
Dunhill dark flake ( Peterson blend ) just tried it for the first time , quite like it but I've made a list of the tobaccos you've mentioned and I think H & H Old Dark Flake seems to stick out from the list , I like Rich dark flakes , Thank you for the video very interesting.
Our baccy tastes only align on 1 blend in you list 😃. But you are still a top 2 pipe maker in my book matey, so don’t fret 👍
I'll take that Phil. Cheers 😎
I haven’t seen the verge engine overdrive. Where did you find that?
That green pipe with the "whiskers" on top? OMG... I'll bet you get some eyeball when smoking that pipe in public! 😄
Awesome video.... have you ever tried Petersons 3p's?? Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on it... its one of my favorite tobaccos
It's on my list Marcus. I'll get around to it at some point I'm sure. Actually, could be a good stocking filler!
@@eldritch_pipes it would be... salty dogs is pretty good too.. looking forward to trying the tobacco I won 🏆
I love that reader. Is it a Dr. Silence?
This summary inspired me to smoke a bowl of HH Old Dark Fired. It was nice but didn't seem very flavorful. Maybe I'm too accustomed to something with Latakia.
Yep, that's a Dr. Silence.
Maybe you've graduated to Bold Kentucky?
Pretty sure Germain tobaccos are unavailable here in the States. And if anyone knows otherwise, they're not telling, right? 😄
😂😂didn’t mean to upset you with the slf info Chris.
It shook me to my core Chris. I'm still recovering 😎
@@eldritch_pipes 😂😂 hopefully you’re over the worst of it now
Woah, what? King Charles and Spesh Lat are the same tobacco differently cut? I like both, a lot actually, but would never in a million years have said they were the same tobacco. My palate is obviously much worse than even I thought it was!
I'm right there with you. I'd refuse to believe it but I've seen the evidence...
Tilbury is awesome...no debatable...hahahah but it does have some burly in it.
I always forget that :-)
Holy shit that is an amazing fight are you selling it how heavy is it
