Can someone interpret this song for me? When I was a student at Kenyatta University in 1993, my campus roommates - Kikuyu brothers, shared this song with me. Little did I know at the time that they were preparing me for the impending passing on of my mother - with some interesting songs. At home, my mom was passing on. When I got home at the end of that semester, my mother was on her deathbed. They also shared another song by the same singer which prophesied that I will be flying abroad. And yes, after I buried my Mom, I earned a full athletic scholarship to an American University. This song and album is very dear to me, although I have almost zero interpretation of it. I only know that Muthini wa Ngai means "Maskini wa Mungu!"
