I lived in Massachusetts in the early 80's. Went up to Rockport with my family when they came to visit. My mom loved it there and in Boothbay harbor. She was deathly afraid of the ocean, but she could sit for hours and watch it. I miss her and my dad every day. Wish I could be at the ocean again with them.
Rockport 💙. For my 60th birthday, back in 2018, I treated myself to a 3 day getaway in Rockport. Drove all the way down from Quebec Canada. Stayed at the Bearskin Neck Motor Lodge and had a seafront balcony. What a wonderful week-end it was. Only thing I wish I knew ahead of time is that Rockport is a dry town. The miles and miles I have walked that week-end to explore every little nook and cranny 🥰
Excellent job of photography, editing and the music really added to the Beautiful scenery, Thank You for allowing me to escape from reality for 15 minutes.
Hi Carla (or Karla? not sure), as a fellow Michigander who's lived in MA for nearly 30 years, there's nothing better than a tour of Rockport than one done with a Michigan accent! (I moved back to MI 7 years go and I miss MA very much, so I REALLY appreciate your vids and am so happy for your new life in NE.) Btw, Halibut State Park in Rockport is an incredibly beautiful place with spectacular views of the water. Sometimes you can see seals on the rocks. I learned MA through bicycle trips using Howard Stone's books - a great way to explore the area, whether by bike or car. Can highly recommend!
Thank you so much for that recommendation Cici. I definitely get comments on my MI accent all the time! LOL. I was born and raised a Michigander, so my accent comes naturally. Thank you so much for watching Cici!
Lovely tour! I have many childhood memories of visiting Rockport while on vacation to Manchester by the sea where grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins all lived. Singing Beach, Tucks Point, we spent a lot of time there. Even though most of my life has been spent in Michigan my heart will always yearn for Manchester and the sea air ❤️
I wanna go to Salem Massachusetts and Boston and provincetown. Also rockport Massachusetts too. I feel drawn there for reason and I have no idea why. I never been but when I think about it. I feel like breath of fresh air lol. Is that crazy? Also thank you for showing this cause looks so beautiful
Hello, Carla. this is where I grew up and lived until my 30's. Family is still there, so I was happy to take this little trip with you. It's a special area.
That is such a nice section of Massachusetts to explore! There’s nothing nicer than a little shopping, some beautiful homes, and the Bonny blue ocean! Thanks for taking us along on your adventures!🌷
This is one of my favorite places. Something magical about being by the sea. 2 more weeks until I go home, this video made me so excited! finally going to get my Lobster roll.
We went to Rockport, MA years ago on Bearskin Landing. And we spent many vacations on the Southern coast of Maine also. When we were in Rockport we stay 2 years in a row at a very quaint B/B at Blue Rocks Gorgious video love Coastal New England. It was always my dream to be a published author and live in Kennebunkport. But never came to life.
Sunday is usually a peaceful day and now I ask myself " I wonder if Carla will be sharing one of her very pleasant videos ", and oh yes, today's video is so tranquil, with the beautiful tour of Manchester by the sea, seeing Rockpori was certainly quaint. Thank you Carla for sharing, hope you have a peaceful week ☮🇺🇸🌅 Blessings
Love this. So quaint and beautiful. I think I saw some for sale signs, one can dream can't they? How do people get to their boats when they're anchored out in the water so far from shore? Thank you for sharing this tour.
What a lovely tour Carla, such pretty houses & gorgeous colours. Sometimes Carla I feel it’s a pity that there are so many electricity cables around, why is that do you know? I guess America is such a vast country compared to England, I keep forgetting that. Anyway it was very relaxing to watch what is going on over the pond. Many thanks, & kind regards…😁
Thank you Jean. I know what you mean about the electric wires....I really notice them when I am trying to take pictures/videos and there's nothing I can do....they interfere with the pictures for sure. Have a wonderful week Jean!
I agree with you, Carla---this place evokes relaxation, appreciation of beauty and it is gorgeous!!!!

Oh, what a wonderful memory. I certainly can relate on missing our loved ones. I agree that the Ocean is very cathartic.
Love seeing Rockport! I grew up in Beverly and we used to go to the shops all the time. I’m in NH now but I loved growing up in MA.
I'm in NH too but so happy to be so close to Mass......definitely a shorter trip than I had from MI. lol. Have a great week Christine

It’s not crazy at all. We’re from Virginia and I felt the same way. We moved to the North Shore two years ago and never looked back.
What a peaceful and beautiful armchair vacation you provided for us. Mass. is on my bucket list. thanks for the trip!
