I'm just learning about contractors insurance, workers comp, business taxes, etc. and the one thing that seems to come up a lot is making sure subs carry their own workers comp. Now I see why. That $200K dwindled pretty fast when 35% was ripped out of it. Wow!
Thank you for this information very helpful, I’m 22 years old I just opened my LLC I’m going to start off as a sub I need a little bit more guidance/advice on how I should go about getting my general liability and workers comp you said a big revenue number which I know I won’t reach so I’m guessing saying anywhere from 100,000-250,000 but if you have any more tips it would be very much appreciated!
Do insurance companies look into if you did 60% roofs and 40% gutters and siding? Will they be able to see that you did 99% roofs even tho you said 60%?
Dude work comp is going to kill my biz if we are not careful. I just hired 3 employees for the first time and got hit hard from comp. Funny my roofing biz is Not Just Roofing LLC.
This was very informative. Greatly appreciated!
