@@gavinv.6836 yeah ..., its tough with work and what not i usually only get one morning to fish (sat) but now that the time changed i might try and get out a few mornings before work . And maybe night fishing will pick up as gets a little colder to,,, theres a spot off paul jones iv been want to go throw topwater in the morning one day, if you have a face book message me on there
Yo whats up man , I was wondering what kind of rod works best for just inshore fish like an all around rod for trout and redfish . I bought an all star inshore rod it’s like blue looking . 7ft medium light fast action . I use the short shank doa hooks 1/8 ounce on a 2500 reel 10 pound mono . Ive noticed that every fish that I land it’ll feel like super heavy and it’ll turn ont to be like a 13 in trout on . Point I’m trying to get is , is my hookup ratio just bad, or could it be just cause a medium light rod . I’ve heard of medium heavy is a really good rod to get. But what do u use for trout .
Medium light is my favorite. If you wanna do more muscle then get a medium action rod. I think you are fine to be honest, use small tackle and you’ll catch big fish lol.
@@gavinv.6836 Yeah I like another thing too is like as soon as I Set the hook in the fish is on I am mediately start reeling in that’s probably not the best thing to do because there’s already so much pressure on the fish
Disregard that ha ha I act like I don’t know how to fish it’s probably because this dirty water they’re a little bit fidgety and I’m so used to trout swallowing the whole thing like I just got done catching some here on the island
@@j.cedillo8820 Actually he does. This is one of the only properties in corpus who own most of the water that runs through the property. During low tide the back lakes become land locked and same with the channel sometimes. Therefore if he owns the surface around he also owns the water within. The property is super super super old.
I’ve fished those back lakes by carbon plant on Fulton road me and my cousin have gone back there and we’ve only caught 2 decent trout and 1 red but we haven’t used live bait only artificials but we wanna try that little island in the middle of the bay
