Another brilliant episode Tim, I wish I was as outgoing as this new alphabet generation. I wish him all the best and I am going to give native Bees a go again. My first try needed in failure. Cheers
Bees are awesome I currently have three hives from rescued wild swarms Watching them come n go is cathartic European honey varieties Just wearing a veil teaches you good husbandry
Really found this interesting I’m highly allergic to bees. I will have to look into the native bee there must be some that live in the lower south west of WA.
Unfortunately no there is no native stingless bees that form large colonys and make honey in southern WA. They dont occur naturaly south of about karratha and the species that occurs in northern wa is different to what they get around sydney.
are the bees shown in this video buzz pollinators like the blue banded bees and therefore useful for tomatoes? or are they not buzz pollinators but still useful for tomatoes? i could binge-watch native bee videos.
The bees in this video are not buzz pollinators, there is research currently being conducted to see how to keep blue bands in enough quantities for tomatoes
Good on this young man and I hopr we all can help save all species of pollinators.
Thanks for sharing
