One of the most popular programs implemented by Franklin Roosevelt as part of the New Deal was the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). What was the CCC? Who was it intended for?
I am 98 years old. I was born in 1921 western North Carolina's Brushy Mountains. I worked for the CCC for years as a young man. And so did my brothers before we enlisted in the US Air Force & Army to fight in WWII. I do not know what we would have done for extra money had we not had the CCC. I was stationed in Statesville & Newton North Carolina while I was in this program. Thank you for posting this upload. It was very nice seeing these images.
Sir, I would have been a fortunate son had you been my father. What the Axis Powers did not count on was the vigor and determination of America's young men. Thank you
2:55 "Eliminating predatory animals" Then they show a photo of a tiny cub bear. Black bear aren't exactly "prediatory" unless you're a raspberry or an anthill.
You commented on someones video saying "maybe im boring, thats why I dont get comments" You have a nice voice for telling, so heres my tip, why dont you tell us "myths" or the "stories behind it"-things of hisotry, books & movies - this would be MUCH cooler to listen to! :) Maybe then you get comments! :D

Thank you
My granddad was one and went to Fort Bliss
My Father would be your age if still alive.
He served a year in the CCCs.

This really helped me out with my homework! Thx for the content :D
awesome program gave folk's and America a hand up instead of a hand out my Dad was one of the young men in CCC
Works fine if you are not disabled, aged or a single mother.
Another quality video! Nice overview using excellent images. My students have a much stronger grasp on the material thanks to this video :)
Thank you!

ALL INCLUSIVE These series are more for straight classroom history, but I love the idea! If only I had more time! Great idea for the summer.
Reading Through History Ok! :D
Had this program been expanded on to all eligible citizens the USA would be more productive, and would have less drought and flood issues.
