This is so good - the visual and the music remind me of a very vivid fever dream I had. It was 2016, I'd just had a terrible rock climbing accident - shattered both heels, broke 2 vertebrae, hit my head. I had a bad reaction to the antibiotic my doctor prescribed to prevent infection my post-op incisions and was feverish, vomiting, in extreme pain etc. At some point, with the assistance of some pretty strong opioids, I finally managed to fall asleep. I had a dream that I was a space traveler who landed on a planet that was just like Earth, but frozen in the 80s. My fellow explorers and I found a mall with a movie theater. There were no people except us, the entire mall and planet seemed abandoned but you could still smell the popcorn, and there was even a movie playing in the theater. I'm not sure why, but the dream positively haunted me in a wonderful way, and I still think about it constantly all these years later. I love the idea of a planet like ours where it's 1980something forever.
