Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

To call an evaporative cooler an air conditioner is misleading advertising. This does not do anything for humidity, so all you get is cold clammy air. Massive fail.
Anything that needs cold water or ice is not a true airconditioning. I've tried heaps of these and are a waste of time The issue I find is the water only stays cool for an hour at at the most. I drive an old classic and none of these stay cool very long on a hot day.
When I follow your link to purchase the MightyKool Evaporative Cooler, the description says: "MightyKool The K2 is not an Air Conditioner, and we Like to Know What 12-Volts can do for You; as it Will not Replace a Vehicle A/C. H" This worries me, as I'm wanting to use this in my car since it has no A/C. From your video, it looked like it works quite well, and it should if I'm going to spend $280! Can you check the link and make sure this is the correct product? Can you tell me anything more about this?
yes, it will drain your battery. alternator needs to be operating if your using the cars battery or else the car battery wont recharge and it will die. in order for the alternator to recharge the battery then the engine must be on
@insightandintuition276 The idea is that you're driving down the road and using it. Driving down the road means the alternator is providing power through the battery, keeping the battery charged while using it.
@@marthaestrada9541 one thing I’m gonna try is 2 small fans that plug into your cigarette lighter port, and bring ice packs and a cooler for extra ice packs. Place the ice pack in front of the fan and it’s supposed to make a difference. Once the ice pack melts, grab a different one from the cooler
For those complaining that it doesn't work, has anyone tried using dry ice. I read in the comments on Facebook, that is the missing key. I don't know from personal experience.

If they combine the mightykool with a battery operated refrigerator then that would really do something

Have you found anything that actually works good? I've been looking at a lot of these, and most look disappointing.
You have to keep ice water in them, when the water gets warm then it will not work.
Same here. No bueno in humid locales, says old man physics.
Have you found anything that works

Swamp Cooler not AC air conditioning units
"Three portable air conditioner reviews" two of which are not ac units.

I reviewed it in my van. UA-cam search Mightykool K2 review How I sleep in my van in the summer better then a fan not as good as a real AC
This guy has no idea.. this is not an AC, it's trash. Don't buy it.
Look into Swamp coolers!
best air conditioners ,but none of them is AC, AC means air cooler for this companies
Duhhh...lol the Zero Breeze is a real air conditioner. Guess you didn't pay attention to the video.
You can’t keep some thing in your cigarette out lighter outlet for eight hours it’ll drain in your car battery, right?

Poor people who cannot repair their car aircondition so please help
YESSS ! I really need to know because we have no AC in car and we’re moving to Colorado from Houston 16 hour drive and no ac? I NEED TO KNOW

How about the moisture!
Trying to find something Dependable for my little dog. In a Honda Ridgeline
Did you ever find something?I'm looking for something similar for a fall roadtrip.

Massive amounts of CO2 released in a small, enclosed space seems genius.
Dipshit.
Don’t do that? Gases are toxic
Swamp coolers are not air conditioners.
But real Swamp coolers is best bet. These evaporative coolers arnt really a Swamp cooler
How can you compare water fans with a compressor unit... jesus bro.
Change of scene noise was so annoying I had to stop half way through. Not even going to visit your other sites. Is that really necessary?
Why is everything evaporated ac! Years ago you could find a window AC unit for the car! Evaporator pretend coolant doesn't work at all
You could?
For the price for any of these items, you'd be better off getting your a/c fixed
This is not the air conditioners, but coolers for outside, not for inside and terrible!!!
2 of the 3 are NOT air conditioners. This video is bs.
Magkno
ALL these are 100% CRAP.
